Ca. 800 - 600 BC. A bronze statuette of a bull standing on four slender legs. The head is defined by a broad muzzle, rounded nostrils, and small, almond-shaped eyes positioned beneath prominent, curved horns that extend upwards. Short, pointed ears project from the sides of the head, angled slightly backward. The muscular neck transitions into a gently sloping back, leading to a short, tapering tail resting against the hindquarters. Ca. 400 - 380 C. A large krater with a broad, inverted bell-shaped body that tapers towards a disc-shaped base, surmounted by a thick, flaring rim. Two loop handles are affixed to the upper body, curving inward. The surface is coated in black glaze with red-figure decoration. A continuous band of meander and chequered motifs encircles the lower part of the body, while the rim is framed by a frieze of laurel leaves. On Side A, a nude male figure stands to the left, holding a situla in his lowered right hand. He wears a fillet around his head and maintains a relaxed posture, facing a draped female figure to the right, who extends her right hand holding a patera. Her hair is adorned with a sakkos. Between them, a small altar with a flame is depicted. Side B presents two ephebi wrapped in himatia, facing each other. The oval-shaped body is supported by three legs ending in animal hooves, with palmette motifs where the legs meet the vessel. The central section features a horizontal spout shaped like an eagle's head. Around the shoulder, three suspension terminals are designed as face masks with loops at the top of the heads, each connecting to a large loop via chains. These chains converge into a single central loop for suspension. The rim is decorated with a raised ovolo band, topped with a panther peering into the vessel. Under the rim is a laurel wreath, and a meander band below the main register. The radiating pattern encircles the bases of the handles, and large palmettes are positioned beneath them. On Side A, a seated maenad is depicted, draped in a chiton fastened below her breasts by a belt, with her left leg extended forward and seated atop a pile of rocks. Her hair is covered by a kekryphalos. She wears bracelets on both wrists and a beaded necklace adorns her neck. Her right hand is raised, holding a large fan, and her left hand holds a branch. She faces a standing, winged Eros, who is depicted nude. Eros extends his left hand towards the maenad, holding a large, shallow phiale filled with fruits, while his other hand holds a downward-facing branch with leaves and fruits. On Side B, two ephebi are depicted facing one another, each leaning on a staff and wearing bordered himatia. Delicate scrollwork fills the spaces between the petals, and the field is further embellished with applied small circular beads. The outer edge is slightly irregular, with a loop at the top for suspension. The figure of Eros is depicted with finely detailed facial features, short wavy hair, and outstretched wings with individually defined feathers.
