A late 19th/early 20th Century Polynesian carved hard wood Tiki post head with tattooed face grimacing with tongue protruding CONDITION REPORTS 73cm height. Surface scratches, scuffs and knocks to the wood. Splits to the wood in areas. Areas of red painted decoration still present. Small areas of loss at the base. An area of loss on the side of the post head. Unsure if this is a natural area of loss and possibly from the carving process but appears to be of some age. A 19th Century Japanese silk robe, the blue ground with embroidered moth and floral spray decoration, with applied collars, cuffs and edging CONDITION REPORTS Some slight discoloration, light staining in areas, some foxing to the inner lining, staining to the inner lining and discoloration also. Snags and pulls to the material, some staining, two tears to the silk to the top of the sleeves and near the shoulder. Tears to the inner lining and losses to the inner lining, also wear, discoloration and staining to the inside of the collar. Item has general wear and tear commensurate with age and use. A Chinese turquoise glazed bottle neck vase bearing six character faux Chenghua marks to base together with three Chinese crackleware cream/white glazed vases various CONDITION REPORTS The turquoise vase has numerous surface scratches and accretions. There are two chips to the rim of the vase opposite each other on the outer rim and the inner rim. There is also a large crack going from the lower part of the neck down towards the base of the vase. Item has wear and tear commensurate with age and use. One of the white baluster vases has a chip, has damage and an old repair to the rim, also light surface scratches, discoloration, accretions etc. All further vases in the lot have surface scratches, crazing, accretions etc and general wear and tear commensurate with age and use. An early 19th Century Continental painted and iron bound dome top trunk with all-over floral and foliate decoration, the front panel initialled "LJDS" and dated "1826" CONDITION REPORTS 111cm width 47cm in height 54cm depth Approx. Numerous surface scratches, scuffs and knocks to the wood. Scuffs, scratches and areas of loss to the painted exterior. Splits to the wood on the domed top. Areas of loss to the wood mainly on the corners but in other areas as well. Evidence of old worm throughout. Fading and discoloration both inside and out. Some staining and accretions to the painted underside of the lid. A dowelled repair visible to keep the candle box secure. The lock mechanism has been removed. Hinges and handles appear to be original to the piece. Item has wear and tear commensurate with age and use. See photos for more details.
A circa 1900 oak revolving bookcase of five tiers with slatted sides CONDITION REPORTS 174cm height 59cm in width Approx. Numerous surface scratches, scuffs and knocks to the wood. Fading and discoloration areas, staining in areas, some small areas of loss to the wood, numerous cracks to the wood on the shelving and on the base. Speedline Severn 1/12 scale model of a RNLI Tobermory 17 39 . Approx 57 inch length,18 inch wide, 37 inch high. Built to the highest standard and finish. The hull and superstructure 2k primed and painted in authentic RNLI colours.Much of the fittings are brass or stainless steel including hand rails,exhaust ports and crane. Kick boards are aluminium with brass nuts and bolts used to attach railings. Brass propellers supplied by speedline as is the Raboesch bow thruster also with brass propellers and steel gearing. Two new Graupner 12v 700 bb turbo motors with Graupner water cooling spirals and Power hd servo fitted. The model will need tx,rx and speed controller plus batteries to work. Working spotlights above front windows and lights on the side man hoists powered by two battery packs,small on/off switches discreetly placed on the superstructure.Included is a Speedline crew figure at helm. Mr.Kell with an Ode to Fortitude, Salisbury, E.Easton, 1788, together 6 works in 1 vol., first editions, the second, third and fourth items with engraved head-piece, Hannah Webb's copy with her signature and manuscript list of contents on front free endpaper, some light foxing, mostly to fourth item, slight worming to outer margin of last two works, contemporary calf, spine gilt, rubbed, head of spine worn, 4to⁂ Francis Webb (1735-1815) was born in Taunton and was a non-conformist minister but in 1766 he retired from the ministry and became a writer, including mistakenly giving his support to William Henry Ireland's Shakespearian forgeries being genuine. In 1801 he travelled to Europe as Francis Jackson's secretary at the negotiations for the Treaty of Amiens and acted as an intermediary with the French. He married Hannah Milner of Poole in 1764. Although the fifth item Friendship, a Poem is anonymous and the author unidentified on ESTC and COPAC it is clear that the author must be Webb.All the items are scarce, with between 2 and 4 UK copies of each listed by ESTC or COPAC (all in BL, and mostly Oxford and/or Cambridge).

The second item is a collection of macabre short stories in which Beardsley's frontispiece of Madame Jahn is one of his most successful drawings, the heavier pen work on the face and table contrasting with the dress which is outlined in dots.
