PAT'D OCT 22 '61, JUNE 27 '71, OCT 28 '73', crescent fore-sight, standing notch rear-sight to rear of top-strap, fluted cylinder, solid frame with side loading-gate, smooth walnut two-piece grip, the whole expertly burnished 'in the white' giving the illusion of nickel finish Other Notes: Forehand & Wadsworth produced this revolver in an attempt to win the Government army revolver contract, but lost out in the end to Smith & Wesson. Less than 1000 were produced almost exclusively in .44 Russian. CONDITION REPORT: Internaly grubby but appears ok, we can not assess the sound board fully. Currently plays but we can not guarantee that it is in tuned or in playable condition. General age wear patina throughout, some sun fading etc, old and large scratch to the top. Some of the screws have sheered off on the hinges holding the top to the frame. PLEASE NOTE: This item will require professional carriers to dismantle and remove from the auction rooms.
