Rauschenberg Robert Robert Rauschenberg artist authentic autograph signed Time Magazine, A 21cm x 28cm original front cover of Time Magazine dated November 29th 1976 featuring Robert on the cover with some of his artwork. Item has been clearly signed by Robert Rauschenberg in black marker. This is the front page only of the magazine, and has some minor glue marks on the bottom left not affecting the signature. These marks are from the white address label that would have been originaly added by the magazine to a subscriber.

AIR CHIEF MARSHAL SIR HUGH PUGH LLOYD GBE KCB DFC. In WWI he was wounded 3 times while serving as a Sapper with the Royal Engineers. Transferred to the RFC. In WWII 1941-42 he was AOC Malta during the epic siege. AIR MARSHAL SIR HUGH S.P. WALMSLEY KCB KCIE CBE MC DFC. In WWI he served in the Royal North Lancashire Regiment before transferring to the RFC. MC (1916) DFC (1922).
A .44 Remington 1858 Army black powder percussion revolver by Uberti s/no. 139351. The revolver is fitted with fixed rear sight but comes with adjustable rear sight as well. Oveall in excellent condition and includes brass powder flask, balls, wads and caps. This item can only be purchased by someone with a current valid firearms certificate with permission to acquire or an R.F.D.
A Victorian mother of pearl card case, with a series of interior divisions. 10.8 cm x 7.6 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The clasp closes as it should. The interior is in very good order. The exterior of the case has no panel losses and only minor surface scuffs and scratches as one would expect. The item could be used in its current condition without the need for any repair or restoration.
A Victorian mahogany chaise longue, with exposed moulded and foliate carved showframe, with rollover end and raised on short turned legs terminating in ceramic castors. CONDITION REPORT: The legs are in good condition and have their original castors. There is no evidence of any woodworm. The velvet upholstery is serviceable with no holes, rips or tears. It is also not significantly dirty and if the colour is suitable then the item does not require recovering as the seat and roll are firm and serviceable.
An early 19th century mahogany bowfronted side table, with crossbanded boxwood strung edge above a single drawer with brass drop handles with circular backplates and raised on tapered legs. Width 91.5 cm. CONDITION REPORT: This item is in generally good order with some scratches to the base. There is also a small flea bite to the rear of both the polar bears shoulders.
A Bevan Funnell mahogany bookcase, with cupboard beneath. Width 83.5 cm. CONDITION REPORT: Generally very good order with no significant issues. There is a very small veneer loss to the upper left hand side of the middle shelf support but other than this the item is ready to use or be re-sold.
An Edwardian mahogany display cabinet, in the French style, with marble top with three quarter gallery, heavy glass panels and raised on cabriole legs terminating in sabot feet. Width 75 cm, height 165 cm, depth at deepest point 35.5 cm, depth otherwise 33 cm. CONDITION REPORT: Other than being extremely dirty this cabinet is in generally good condition. The brass gallery is present and complete. The marble top is not cracked. The glazed door and side panels are in good condition. The rear mirror plate is showing signs of perishing. The door is not warped and all of the front timberwork is in generally good condition with only minor surface scratches and scuffs as one would expect from a piece of this age. The wooden side panels are in generally good order. The right and left and rear panels each have a small 4 mm x 30 mm section of veneer missing right at the back edge. This is barely significant and if stained would not be visible. The rear legs are a little weak and there is a bracing bracket at the back of each leg which is probably a later item rather than original feature. Again these are at the rear of the cabinet right by the wall and are not visible. The piece has a fully panelled back.
Edward Hughes (1953-2006), a large olive glazed charger, with figure of eight decoration, impressed "EH" monogram. Diameter 43 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: This piece has two kiln marks at the base of the piece where the item must have been stuck to the kiln, these are approximately 1.5 cm. Emanating from these points are minor glaze crazing which is visible when the piece is turned to the light. The visible sections of the bowl are all first class.
Queen Freddie Mercury: A personally owned Dunhill leather bag, provenance given when originally sold at auction earlier this year, consigned by Shaun Matthew who was the house sitter at Garden Lodge, Kensington after Freddie's death, Shaun worked for Jim Hutton and was given the item by Jim when Mary Austin took over the estate, also Shaun was mentioned in Jim Hutton's book and was pictured in the press helping to clear Garden Lodge, sold with original invoice of purchase
Catalogue for The Society of Marple Artists Seventh Annual Exhibition, Marple, 25-26 April 1975, four page card catalogue detailing 135 works, nicely signed and dated in ink to the front cover: 'L.S. Lowry 24 April 1975' (preview date), accompanying the catalogue is a letter dated 2005 to the present vendor from the Cheshire lady who originally obtained Lowry's signature, with an account of the occasion: "Lowry was visiting the exhibition and he was quite old then and not looking too well. I asked him to sign my programme which he did but then appeared to refuse to sign any others". A scare and unique item.
William IV mahogany breakfront bookcase of four glazed doors over four cupboard doors, width 204cm, height 262cm. Condition report: this item appears to have been reduced in length; there is some loss of veneer and old repairs; both ends show signs of alteration; one pane is cracked; there is a replacement lock.
A Roullet & Decamps Elephant and Cavalier automata, French circa 1890, kid leather elephant with glass eyes, sprung trunk, painted wooden tusks and metal cogged wheels to base of feet, large purple velvet saddle cloth with gold braid trim, seated composition painted Cavalier wearing orange top and hat and striped trousers, mechanism to elephants torso, mechanism inoperative, and stop/start lever to rear, general wear and saddle cloth faded, hole to centre of truck, right ear loose, 11 ¾” (30cm) tall. Lot further includes a glass mounted signed photo of Ian Gillan taken in Bradford 1982, measuring 12"x16". This item has been authenticated by Roger Epperson for entry to this sale.
