A Pair of Edwardian Mahogany and Inlaid Oval Two Tier Lamp Tables, each with cross banded edge to top, frieze inlaid with stringings and with oval panels, fitted one frieze drawer, conforming under tier, on tapered legs, 23.5ins x 17.5ins x 30ins high To the top of the first table there is general light scattered scratching and on the left hand side there is a small horizontal shrinkage crack around 4ins long. On the edge of the top all the way round there are scattered areas of shrinkage to the cross banding with vertical lines or cracks each around 0.5ins in length running horizontally and vertically. Around the edge of the top there is general rubbing and some edge knocks. General heavier wear to the lower tier and legs commensurate with age. On the left hand front leg there are two small areas of moulding loss each around 2ins long in a rectangular section and the same for the back left hand leg. Overall this table out of the lot is structurally sound however there is some movement in the joints and is rather flimsy. Other table - general light scattered scratching to the top. Extensive cross banding or veneer loss on the outer edge and veneer cracking and bubbling all the way round in vertical and horizontal lines or cracked sections. All the way round the edge of the top there is some general rubbing and deeper edge knocks. On the back right hand leg there are two areas of moulding loss each in a rectangular section and the same for the front left hand and back left hand leg. General heavier wear to the feet and uprights commensurate with age. Overall the item is structurally sound however there is some movement in the joints and the item is rather flimsy.
A William and Mary Walnut, Oak and Oysterwood Chest, the oysterwood veneers inlaid with stringings, with moulded edge to top, fitted two short and three long graduated drawers, and on later bracket feet, 40.5ins wide x 24ins deep x 36ins high To the top some general heavy scattered scratching, darker staining and uneven fading. The top is showing extensive signs of shrinkage with lots of scattered veneer cracking and bubbling. On the back left hand corner there is an area of veneer repair in a triangular section around 1ins x 4ins long and on the right hand side in the centre there is an area of veneer loss in a rectangular section around 1ins x 2ins long and other scattered areas of general veneer loss to the top. Around all four edges of the top there is some general rubbing and edge knocks. On the right and left hand sides there are signs of shrinkage with extensive cracking and bubbling. To the back there are flight holes present, evidence of historic woodworm. Drawers run free and easily with minimal resistance. There appear to be replacement handles of the period. Definitely restored and refreshed replacement legs and feet. Overall the item is structurally sound with little to no movement in the joints.
A Mahogany and Parcel Gilt Bateau Lit in the French Empire Style, converted by Michael Westgate, with scroll ends on paw front end supports, upholstered in cream and red patterned cloth and loose cushions for same, 71ins wide x 38.5ins high Provenance: Conversion Commission 2002 The upholstery appears to be in a good overall condition with no obvious tears, rips or stains. At the front on the right hand side there is a small area of veneer loss and damage in a triangular section. The same for the back right hand leg. There is some general rubbing and edge knocks to the crest rail. This item is in need of restoration due to it being of glued construction which has been prised from the left and right uprights and has completely come away from the back section. There are gilt metal mounts which conceal the screws. To the base the two front feet, the gilding is heavily rubbed and has extensive paint loss.

An Early 19th Century Mahogany Framed Bergere Easy Chair, the tub-shaped back with leaf cresting, caned back and seat, on sabot front legs with brass toes and castorsAround the crest rail there is some general heavy scattered scratching and some rubbing and darker staining. Where the arms meet the crest rail there are two vertical shrinkage lines running from one end to the other. The caning on the back and the arms appears to be in a good overall condition. On the seat it is slightly loose but there are no obvious holes, tears or rips. It is slightly depressed at the front section. There is some darker polish and stain build up around the end of each of the arms. General heavier wear to the seat rail and legs and feet, commensurate with age. The pop up mechanism does work however is a little stiff and the velour lined interior is worn and distressed and there are some areas of damage in the circular insets. On the lower section of the top there is some general rubbing to the polish. To the base and feet there is general heavier wear commensurate with age and some slight shrinkage and veneer cracking to various places. Overall the item is structurally sound however there is some movement in the joints.

On all four corners of the tray top there are two vertical line caused by shrinkage. On the back edge of the top the timber is slightly warped and has moved away from its inset handle at the top. In between the two corner joints of the cornice there are diagonal shrinkage splits each running from one end to the other. General signs of shrinkage to the frieze where the veneer is starting to bubble. On the left hand side there is a vertical shrinkage split running from one end to the other around 4ins long. To the right and left hand sides there is general light scattered scratching and some heavier impressions. On the left door on the left hand side there is an area of moulding loss around 4ins long running vertically. The panel itself has shifted over to the right and slightly further on from this on the left hand side of the top is a vertical shrinkage split running around 4ins long. On the left hand side there is a small area of veneer loss in a triangular section around 2ins long. On the right hand door at the top left and right hand sides there are two vertical shrinkage splits each around 4ins long. The right hand door the escutcheon is missing. Key is present and locking mechanism works. To the right hand side of the right hand escutcheon there is a vertical shrinkage split around 4ins long. On the left hand door at the very top there is a scattered area of heavier scratching. On the right hand door on the lower left section the panel has shifted over to the right, the same on the left hand panel on the left hand door. The hanging rail is missing. When opening the door looking at the back panel all of the panels have vertical shrinkage cracks running from one end to the other and on the bottom board there is a horizontal shrinkage split running from one end to the other. General heavier wear to the bracket feet commensurate with age. Overall the item is structurally sound however there is some movement in the joints.
