1 DOUBLE MAGNUM BOTTLE CHATEAU LAFITE ROTHSCHILD GRAND CRU CLASSE PAUILLAC 1959 (LEVEL AT VERY TOP SHOULDER - VTS), one owner since purchase “en primeur” in early 1960’s (through either Berry Brothers or The Wine Society) and stored in an ideal cellar. This ‘iconic’ DM has come from the Private Collection of the late philanthropist and Businessman Sir John Zochonis, one time Lord Lieutenant of Greater Manchester and Chairman and CEO of The Cussons Soaps empire. This Double Magnum, as a typical early 1960’s release when the presentations for large formats were hand-applied, is in excellent condition and has recently been taken to Bordeaux for appraisal. A full report from the Technical Director of Chateau Lafite is available. The label is intact and partially “cellar-soiled” and the lower part of the capsule also shows minor damage. The Ultimate 60th Anniversary item.

The case contains an Army & Navy 2¾" alloy fly reel, a 23/8" Army & Navy plate wind reel, an unnamed plate wind reel and an unnamed crank wind reel together with a leather coarse fisherman's wallet with line winder, a Farlow leather fly wallet, an unnamed leather wallet and an Army & Navy flyfisher's wallet containing parchment pouches and a selection of flies to include some Victorian gut eyed salmon flies together with an Army & Navy dry fly tin and a Hardy fly case CONDITION REPORTS The case has numerous surface scratches, dents and knocks to the leather, some fading and discolouration in areas, areas of staining and some accretions, knocks to the corners, some slight separation of the leather on the corners and splitting to the leather surface on the straps. the green baize interior has some fading and discolouration, accretions etc. Item has general wear and tear commensurate with age and use. A taxidermy stuffed and mounted Jackel mask (probably a Golden Jackel) by Van Ingen and Van Ingen of Mysore, on a shield shaped plaque, inscribed "MHow. C.I. 1934-35", bearing Van Ingen stamp and paper label verso CONDITION REPORTS Numerous accretions, build up of dust etc around the eyes and the mouth. Areas of loss around the mouth, scratches and scuffs around the mouth and nose, fur possibly faded and discoloured. Small crack to the front of the lower jaw, small area of loss to side of the nose. A leather six section cartridge magazine of slim form CONDITION REPORTS Numerous surface scratches, scuffs and knocks to the leather. Discolouration, fading and staining to the leather also. Remnants of old labels to the top of the case. The red material on the inside has areas of loss, some staining, fading and discolouration, accretions etc. The material on the partitions section has fading, discolouration, staining, accretions etc. Stitching appears to be sound throughout with no visible areas of loss. There is no key for this item so unable to test if the lock mechanism is working
A Polar Bear skin rug with head and paws on a brown Bear skin mount/surround with canvas backing CONDITION REPORTS Areas of loss to the fur around the eyes, nose and ears. Loose fur. Accretions and foreign objects in fur. Rips to the backing on the underside. Fading and discolouration in areas. There appears to be a claw missing on each front paw. Front paws are mis-shapen with areas of loss. Both back hind paws have all 5 claws present although a couple are slightly damaged and chipped. Previously the property of a radio broadcaster and founder member of Capital Gold and DJ for Smooth radio.
Tom Cruise hand signed Mission Impossible #1 comic from May 1996 containing three panels of Ethan Hunt that Marvel had to withdraw from sale due to Tom Cruise saying that they ''looked too feminine''. The original print run was destroyed and this comic is one of a scarce amount to survive. The condition is excellent with just three vertical fold lines to the right hand side. (1) The item comes with COA and letter explaining that the signature was obtained in preson in July 1996 at the London premiere of the film at the EMpire Cinema in Leicester Square.
James Bond original film used prop Hovercraft Nose Cone. This is the actual nose front of the hovercraft from the James Bond film "Die Another Day". Provenance - The Bond Museum also acquired the original Complete Hovercraft from the film and this front section was acquired by the museum. It was removed from one of the original dismantled vehicles following completion of the film that was used for closeup sequences. This item was on display at the Keswick James Bond museum.

Additional InformationThe components that still move on this item are the trigger which is sprung but disconnected, the cocking handle can be pulled back and retracted, the safety can be switched and the magazine can be removed although a bar has been put across and the magazines would require modification to latch in correctly, the date of deactivation is 2019 and this is sold with a current EU Deactivation Certificate, the date of manufacture is stamped on the left hand side of the action and is 1943.

FOUR .22'' BLANK FIRING VERTICALLY VENTING STARTING PISTOLS, which utilise sliding cartridge loading blocks, the first bears the motif of a K in the centre of an oval 'O' in the centre of its grips and comes with a loading block, the second is a West German EMGE complete with sliding block magazine, it has a loss of finish to the top of the frame, the third is a similar West German EMGE but its action is defective and its loading block is missing, the forth item bears the name Parvia, was made in Czechoslovakia and is also defective, this lot is offered for the purposes of historical re-enactment or theatrical use in accordance with the provisions of the V.C.R.
