JIMI HENDRIX OWNED AND WORN WAISTCOAT. A mens studded suede waistcoat, likely custom made, owned and worn by Jimi Hendrix circa 1968-1970. Accompanying handwritten letter of provenance (dated 2002) details how the item was sold circa 1999 originally from the collection of Hendrix's PA. The letter also details how the item was once in the ownership of Stevie Ray Vaughan and has been inscribed (all faintly, many illegible) to the inner by Buddy Miles, Noel Redding, Eugene McFadden, James “Booty” Neal. This item was sold as part of Cooper Owen's sale of 24th September 2002, when the 'burned' guitar owned by Dweezil Zappa was offered. Measures approx 19.5" pit to pit and 23" back length.
