RANGERS - (THE POPE MUST DIE) Just like buses , you sell a scarce item and along comes another one. However the programme in question is very scarce as all but a few copies were pulped due to the presence of a somewhat offending advert inside the original copies of the Rangers v Aberdeen 11/5/1991 at Ibrox.. The programme contains an advert for a Robbie Coltrane film and the banner headline "The Pope Must Die on June 21" was prominently printed. The Rangers club realised that this might not be in the best of taste and withdrew the programme and very few survived. Coltrane did not help matters, so we are told, by parading around Ibrox dressed as The Pope although the resulting publicity was no doubt the object of the exercise. The programme is in good-very good condition. Good-Very good
