Third Reich NSDAP Political Leaders Peaked Cap, unusual example produced in a different cloth to the standard political leaders caps. Blue piping to the crown and bordering the central band. Early type political cap eagle and single roundel cockade. Golden cap cords. Interior with its sweatband and cloth lining with tailors celluloid diamond and ink stamps ‘M.C. WIEN’, possibly a film studios in Vienna, where the item has been after the war? Cap possibly Austrian made which is why constructed from different materials to most political caps.
WW2 German Army High Command (General Staff) Officers Crusher Cap, untouched as found example in field grey cloth with carmine piping to the crown and bordering the bottle green central band. Soft leather ‘crusher’ type peak and correct bevo flat wire eagle and cockade. Interior with cloth lining. Cap is well worn and suffering with moth damage. This item belonged to the vendors grandfather, Hans Post, who was said to have been on one of the last planes evacuating German troops from Stalingrad. WW2 German Army Double Decal Steel Combat Helmet, interesting example of a M-35 steel combat helmet which has a textured overpaint finish to the exterior of the shell. Helmet has an army decal which is well worn and appears to be overpainted, the opposite side has a period painted national tri-colour shield. Interior complete with the original leather liner on aluminium liner band. Complete with leather chinstrap. The liner has ink name of the original owner ‘POST’. Shell is stamped ‘Q64’ and ‘759’. Generally a good example. This item belonged to the vendors grandfather, Hans Post, who was said to have been on one of the last planes evacuating German troops from Stalingrad. Three Leather Pistol Holsters, German, Italian & Portuguese, Leather holsters all black. A Portuguese M1918 Savage Holster, good condition, with twin compartment under the lid with press studs. An Italian Beretta M1934 leather holster, with metal hook to the rear for attaching to belt. Quite a well worn item. Lastly a German Holster, small in size, likely for a PPK. With SS markings to the inside, and Death Head embossed to the lid, all of which are spurious.
WW2 German Lamp, 1943 Dated, Original WW2 German lamp, glass fronted lamp, of which is in good condition with no cracks, the metal tag attached to one side is dated 1943 with manufactures marks. Has a handle on top of the lid, which is secured down by to straps each side. Very fair condition item.
Ca. AD 100 - 300.A funerary vessel used for holding cremated human remains called a cinerarium (or cinerary urn) that is hand-shaped from soft blue glass that, once transparent, has developed weathering film to create a translucent presentation. The substantial form exhibits a globular body, a slightly concave base, which tapers up towards the squat neck, and a thick, everted rim with the excess folded underneath rather than being removed. Accompanying the body is a discoid lid formed from similar glass with a slender body, a sharply curved rim, and a tubular central handle with a pinched tab on top. Both components are enveloped with delicate layers of rainbow-hued iridescence which create a distinguished presentation The funerary monument is completed with a stone urn with a hollow conical body with a flat base. The figures stand in mummiform with fused legs and crossed hands. They have slender eyes with elongated outer canthi, small noses, smooth cheeks and rounded chins. Ca. 500 - 300 BC. A set of Phoenician wearable glass beaded necklace and bracelet. The necklace is composed of dozens of globular blue eye beads and embellished in the frontal side with a huge glass pendant in the shape of a head. Semi-opaque cobalt blue, with additions in opaque white and semi-opaque. The bracelet is a stunning example of an ancient Phoenician mosaic glass restrung to graduate in size. Composed with seven round beads depicting the iconic face of Phoenician culture on different colored backgrounds and an almond shaped bead in green glass. Phoenician glass production stands as a testament to the ingenuity and craftsmanship of this ancient civilization. Dating back to the 15th century BC, the Phoenicians mastered the art of glassmaking, establishing themselves as pioneers in the field. The heart of Phoenician glass production lay in coastal cities such as Sidon, Tyre, and Byblos, where abundant resources like silica sand, soda ash, and lime were readily available. Ca. 1100 - 900 BC.A Mesopotamian red stone cylinder seal. The main item of the design is a large bird, standing with its wings spread. It has a thin body and thin neck. Under the bird is a plant and a tree with a curved trunk rising from between two growths, serving as a terminal. The fillers of the seal are a crescent, star and four dots. There is also an inscription in cuneiform script reading Dingir tuku (Have a god, Be successful). Thebes, early Ptolemaic Period, Ca. 305 - 200 BC. An exceptional and very well-preserved basalt statue in the name of the priest Pa-khar-Khonsu. It represents the priest in a kneeling position. His hands are resting on his thighs, his torso is bare and he is wearing a loincloth with a belt. His head has a round face and is topped with a straight wig revealing the ears. At the back, the dorsal pillar is engraved with two hieroglyphic columns: "Saite formula" concerning Pa-khar-Khonsu who combined various priestly functions including the prophet of Amun in Ipet-sout, and prophet of Thebes, the Victorious, holder of power. This piece is accompanied by a high-quality modern custom-made stand. A statue bearing the same name is kept at the Oriental Museum in San José (California), Inv. 1583.
