THE BEATLES - THIS BOY ACETATE - A truly fascinating item here. A 'heavyweight' 7" acetate (almost feeling like a shellac disc) with 'The Master Sound System' studio labels. This most playable version is indeed a 'rough' take of the classic track. Kicking off with a slightly different acoustic guitar intro, the rest of the track is roughly a semitone lower than the final version. In the verses, Paul and George's vocals are perhaps more elaborate than the final cut, with slightly more 'turns' and extensions such as 'he may want you too' where there is far more emphasis on the 'too'. A lovely version of the track which very much suits the slower 'ballad' tempo and lower key. The record is in remarkable VG+ condition with just a couple of light surface markings - the record can be fully enjoyed without any skips or jumps. With the title hand written in pencil with '9074' stamped. Interestingly, there is in 'unknown' female led ballad track on the B side which we believe is called 'Victoria Falls' - another lovely record!
