Piece of WW1 German Zeppelin Fabric of L.71, interesting piece of fabric cloth which has inked to the reverse ‘SAMPLE Outer Covering German Zeppi L.71’ and then later applied ‘L 71. Outer Covering’. Generally good condition. Vendor states the item was from the estate of Joseph Armstrong who was a rigger at RAF Cardington. The piece of fabric was taken by Armstrong when the airship was dismantled at RNAS Pulham in 1921 to provide space for the airship R.36
British Military Officers Coatee Tunic Tails Ornament Badge, bullion embroidered crowned wreath with oval centre having remains of wire embroidery with regimental details which is possibly for the Kent Regiment (some wire absent), red felt oval with gilt metal ‘XLIX’ to the centre. Remains of the paper cloth backing to the reverse.
