Leicester City 1960s Exchange Pennant: Issued by the club and claimed to be an exchange pennant for a FA Cup Final which would point to 1961 or 1963. Top of pennant to bottom point measures 19 inches and has a cloth badge similar to the shirt badge worn in this period. Leicester City Football club has been hand sewn and this has been kept in excellent condition with original ropes as it has been expensively framed and measures 33 x 24 inches. Football Wanted cannot guarantee that this was an exchange pennant with either Manchester Utd or Tottenham and therefore price the item as a general club exchange pennant.
C14/15th ENGLISH BRONZE BUCKLER. One of two Bucklers found on the banks of the River Thames in London in the late 1960’s. The other is now in a museum in the USA. This is the better example, showing various sword cuts and battle damage ! The diameter is 8 inches, the domed section has a diameter of 4 ½ inches. The front face has 3 incised lines serving as decoration together with a decorative complete circle on the dome. A very rare item of medieval period armour, 100% original and only cleaned of mud encrustation so delightfully patinated. 1000-1500
FRENCH JEWISH “JUIF” ID BADGE IN ALUMINIUM. A scarce French version of a Jewish identification badge made from aluminium with holes allowing it to be sewn onto clothing. It has the word JUIF and below it a triangle containing the letter “P” indicating both Jewish and political prisoner. Possibly an internment or concentration camp made item. 100-200
6x UNUSED ORIGINAL NAZI CELLULOID CANDLE HOLDERS. A scarce batch of 6 new/old stock Nazi Party celluloid candle holders. These were designed to contain a night-light type candle; they were used as both Christmas decorations and also at funerals in the early 1930’s. By 1934 these cheaply produced Nazi items were banned under new laws dictating the minimum quality an item had to be if it wore the swastika emblem. 60-100
A pottery 'Carlsberg' advertising item in the form of a nude lady seated on a rock, 17cm high and a blue glazed dish in the form of a seal by a pool, numbered 360 to the base, possibly Sylvac, 12cm high (2 items) - Part of a Private owner collection CONDITION REPORT: Carlsberg figure - Hand leaning on the rack is cracked. There is a hairline crack running along the rock from beneath the figure's knee. Glaze crazed. Ashtray - Glaze crazed.
