A novelty Victorian hallmarked silver vesta case modelled as a horseshoe, the hinged lid enclosing the striking surface and three apertures with rolling side arm, Birmingham 1880, 5.5cm. CONDITION REPORT: Hallmark clear (see photo), some surface scratches, the top bracket is slightly tight. Slightly compressed in centre, where thumb would be placed when opening lid with other hand. Several small dents to edge. Surface wear commensurate with age. We can post the item within the UK in a jiffy bag with insurance value up to £500 for a cost of £12 + VAT.

CONDITION REPORT: There is a horizontal crease a quarter of the way up the page. Slight thumb/fingerprint brown stain just above this line and a vertical light brown line on the left about 2mm in from the edge where it perhaps was once mounted differently.
