NO RESERVE - Landrover 2,250cc Petrol “Barn Find” for restoration or parts. NO RESERVE 1967 - Having come from a “deceased estate” that we were asked to help by removing and offering for sale by the executors of the will. We do not know a lot more about this Land Drover apart from the carb and inlet manifold is off the engine and in the cab. The rest of the car seems to be there but is obviously in a poor state from standing for so long. There is no paper work or keys at the moment, efforts are being made to locate them but take it as not, if found then that should be looked on as a bonus not a given it will be. DVLA record the car as a 1967 first registered in the UK November 1975 and the last time it was taxed was November 2002. Engine is the “Two and a quarter” petrol unit and its registration is correct to the car.Interior wise things are a bit better and with a good clean, would be useable. The inside of the rear hard top is actually in surprisingly good condition and hints at how the car would of looked when in use. All the doors are un-locked and open easily. Dash is complete. All seats are there.Having looked briefly underneath while on the recovery truck, there are areas of the chassis looking crusty so take it as read there will be chassis work required. Offered here as a NO RESERVE item that needs major restoration or as a large amount of spare parts all still bolted together.

The message on a 4to Western Union sheet reads like a typical Churchillian speech; '…during the years of close contact and cooperation between the English speaking world, the late President Roosevelt became to me not only a dear and valued friend but also the personification of the firm and brave spirit which characterizes the American peoples…we do well to honour his name and be proud that we have lived in his time…', an interesting item in A/G condition overall

Signed by Churchill to the base with full version of his signature. The document also bears the initials of various members of the Committee of Imperial Defence who sponsored the document. As far as we are aware no other version of this document signed by Churchill is in existence. The Churchill Archives in Cambridge have a copy of this document but is unsigned. In the present document, Churchill expresses his opinion as to how the nation could be defended in the event of an attack: '…the tunnel should be brought to the surface of the sea not less than a quarter of a mile from the shore and the railway should run from the tunnel mouth to the shore on a bridge…', an interesting item in A/G condition overall
