Excellent condition, minor creasing, fold.; 2. Insecurity of Attachment - artwork features a scared man panicking as he hangs off the edge of a cliff by a rope. Excellent condition, minor fold.; 3. Replace - Remove an item and fit a new or reconditioned item - artwork features a soldier fixing a car engine and throwing a car part into the face of another man. Very good condition, minor creasing, fold, small stain on left side.; 4. Inspect - Review the work by tradesman to see that it has been carried out satisfactorily - artwork features a man eating a potato from the plate of a surprised chef. Excellent condition, minor creasing, fold.; 5. Examine - Damage due to external sources - artwork features a man looking out of a broken window with glass on the floor next to a football. A good circa 1900 mahogany, satinwood and ivory inlaid revolving bookcase by Maple & Co. having typical arrangement of eight divisions, raised on castors with Maple & Co. label to interior, width 49.5cmCondition report: Height 86cm. Revolving action fine. All original castors. No woodworm, Please see extra images for damaged section and ring. A good quality item, Light surface scratching. No significant faults. Stands well, good original colour. Some knocks and scuffs to baton uprights, but an overall very good and original example.
Very early wooden CARRIAGE DESTINATION BOARD lettered 'Swanley Junction'. We believe this to be either LC&DR or SECR due to the traces of those companies' livery on the board. Likely to have been used on 4-wheel carriages. Swanley Junction station was relocated and re-named Swanley in 1939. The board measures 41" x 5" (104cm x 13cm). In worn, ex-use condition with fading of the lettering. A most unusual item. [1]
Thames Valley Traction Company enamel BUS STOP FLAG with additional London Transport ENAMEL PLATE for Green Line route 701. From the western end of the Green Line route, Virginia Water towards Ascot, which was Thames Valley territory and where LT, no doubt to its chagrin, had to use TV bus stops. Double-sided, flanged bus stop flag with double-sided plate bolted on, the assembly measures 16" x 20" (41cm x 51cm). A most unusual item. In very good, ex-use condition with just minor blemishes. British Railways (Southern Region) ENAMEL SIGN 'Porters, Porteurs C'. We suggest that this dual-language sign may have been situated at one of the 'marine' stations in Dover, Folkestone or Newhaven. Measures 18" x 12" (46cm x 30cm) and is in very good, ex-use condition with a little touching-in around some screw-holes. A most unusual item that we have not seen before. [1]
1950s/60s Southdown Motor Services enamel, combined BUS & COACH STOP FLAG consisting of a generic Tilling/BET-style bus stop to which has been bolted a Southdown-branded coach stop. The assembly is double-sided and measures 13" x 18" (33cm x 46cm) and is in good, ex-use condition with a few small chips to the enamel. A most unusual item. A blue painted metal, composition and glazed lantern, English or French, late 19th century, the domed top and tapered cylindrical body cast with openwork foliate and geometric cresting, approximately 90cm high, 50cm diameter Condition Report: Top glass pane is broken. The upper section of the interior has been fully adapted and encloses a large modern light fitment. The panes inset in the body are variously scratched, and feel like they may be a type of plastic. The lantern is quite scuffed and dusty overall, and would benefit from a clean overall.Sold as a decorative item, please have tested by a certified electrician prior to use.Part of the cresting has broken off.
