KIPLING (Rudyard): 'Thy Servant a Dog...and other Dog Stories', London, Macmillan & Co, 1938, 12mo, publishers red soft leather gilt, teg: 'Letters of Marque', Allahabad, A H Wheeler, 1891: 8vo, pub. 2 tone red/blue cloth gilt lettered, covers bumped and damp soiled: together with two other first/early editions of works by Kipling, and a copy of David Christie Murray's 'Despair's Last Journey', London 1901, with Kipling's bookplate. It is reputed that a number of copies of the first named item were lost in air raids in World War II. (5)
