Red Barons Fokker DR1 Triplane - a rare 1/8th scale model of the Red Barons Fokker DR1 Triplane, it has been constructed from 100 weekly magazines containing all of the parts required to build it, the collection was purchased two years ago from the owner who was unable to construct it, the model was designed and supplied by Hatchette partworks UK Ltd in 2003/4, the kit consists of ply wood, brass and die cast parts and took approximately 300hrs and a fair bit of ingenuity to put together, the model is finished with a very realistic and vintage looking matt red fine weave covering that gives it an historic and pleasing appearance, the model can be displayed in a manner that gives the viewer a two dimensional view of the aircraft, one view allows it to be seen in an open frame format showing framework cables cockpit etc, and the other fully covered and ready for action, the propeller spins and the wheels turn, the ailerons, rudder and elevator all work correctly from the joy/control stick and the rudder pedals, I believe that this model would be appreciated and desired by anyone who has a love of vintage military aircraft but who do not have the time, capacity or patience required to construct one for themselves, the 100 magazines that the model came with are also included in the lot, the magazines are full of information relating to the history of flight and the Red Barons rise to fame (2)Please note the item can not be packed and shipped with our in house shipping service, but we do have a list of private couriers that maybe able to help. Matchbox Lesney Moko No. 11 ERF Petrol Tanker in the rarer green colour, item has green body with gold trim and metal wheels and appears to be in Very Good condition with a few minor paint chips. The box appears to be a strong bright example in Very Good condition with all flaps in place but does have some pen marks to one side.This lot must be paid for and removed no later than close of business on Friday.

A Victorian ladies burr walnut vanity case by Michi & Bazin of London the lid with brass shield inscribed "ASR 1862" opening to reveal and fitted interior with silver and/or white metal topped bottles and jars and secret fitted drawer (provenance bears label with handwritten inscription "this box belonged to Alice Suzannah Reeves "Aunt Alice" (1849-1933), Aunt of Mary Alice Goodman (born Reeves) mother of Sir Victor Martin Goodman, clerk of the Parliaments" CONDITION REPORTS The box itself has numerous light surface scratches, scuffs and knocks to the wood, some accretions which appear to be maybe flecks of white paint. There are a pair of scissors and two other items missing from the vanity set. Some tarnishing to the white metal lids, some light surface scratches also. Some of the lids have some minor knocks and dents. There is a crack to one corner of the internal fitted mirror. Some fading and wear to the velvet lined interior and box lids. Some wear and a small nick to the leather on the underside of the lid. Item has general wear and tear commensurate with age and use. There is some fading and discolouration to the wooden box. The Prince and Princess of Wales, 38 Rathbone Place, London", the fitted interior with two lidded bottles inscribed "watercolour megilp....", and "permanent Chinese white...", two further bottles inscribed "illuminating gum water" and "limpid extract of gall", pottery palettes, ivory mounted ebony rule, two agate topped scratching out tools and selection of paint blocks including vermilion, lamp black, ivory black, brown ochre, Naples yellow, gamboge, raw sienna etc. CONDITION REPORTS Numerous surface scratches, scuffs and knocks to the wooden case. A bronzed plaster bust study of the Duke of Wellington inscribed to the plaque below "Orpheus London" (approx. life size) CONDITION REPORTS Numerous surface scratches and scuffs, some knocks to the plaster mainly around the bottom of his cloak.
