TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR 1960-61 Superb item, a hard backed exercise book containing on each page a 6" x 4" photograph (glossy) of the eleven Spurs players who made up their usual Double -Winning team whilst opposite the photograph is the autograph of the relevant player which normally says "Best wishes " followed by the signature of the relevant player. The remainder of the book has full details of Spurs 1960-61 season, results , scorers, attendances, appearances etc plus one other signature (possibly Hollowbread). Photographs and signatures are Bill Brown, Peter Baker, Ron Henry, Danny Blanchflower, Maurice Norman, Dave Mackay, Terry Dyson, Les Allen, Bobby Smith, John White and Cliff Jones. Good

The final item is a Croydon Common FC letter to Tucker dated 24/2/1910 indicating that he stands a good chance of being added to the playing staff. Croydon Common were in the Second Division of the Southern League in 1910-11 having been relegated the previous season. Interesting selection of items. Generally good

MUHAMMAD ALI - FRAZIER - FOREMAN   A magnificent framed shadow box collection, three signed boxing gloves together with three photographs. The boxing gloves have been signed by Muhammad Ali, Joe Frazier and George Foreman and are displayed in a large shadow box. Signatures have been confirmed and verified to be authentic and signatures match known examples. Signed in black sharpie and valued in June 2016 by "valuemystuff.com" between £2,000 and £3,000. The authenticity certificates on the back of the item are as follows: The signed Ali glove comes with a certificate issued by Steiner Sports Memorabilia Inc, the Foreman signed glove comes with a certificate stating that the gloves are issued on behalf of George Foreman Enterprises and there is a photograph of Foreman with the glove. The Frazier signed glove comes with a Superstar Greetings INc New York certificate signed by Frazier and with a photograph of Frazier,  The complete item is registered with Online Authentics. com , the certificate of registration being ISIS Registry number OA-7812234. The signatures are prominent and it has been verified by Garry King and was originally displayed in the Las Vegas Boxing Hall of Fame. The gloves signed by Ali and by Frazier are Everlast Gloves, the Foreman signature is on a specially made Foreman Glove. The three photographs show Ali (then known as Cassius Clay) with arms aloft after knocking out Liston, 25/7/64, Ali knocking out Foreman 30/10/74 (Rumble in the Jungle) and Ali fighting Frazier 8/3/71, Fight of the Century. The colour photographs measure 20cm x 25cm  (2) and the other measures 18cm x 24cm. The complete item measures 106cm x 77cm x 15cm depth and was previously sold at Juliens Auctions in Beverly Hills. An outstanding item.     Good

MARK JONES-1958 A sad item, the programme for the memorial service for Mark Jones held at Wombwell Parish Church, 14/2/58. Mark Jones was sadly one of the eight players who lost their lives in the Munich Air Disaster, 6th February 1958. He was a Yorkshire and England schoolboy International and he made over 100 appearances for United from 1950 onwards. This four page programme for the service does have minor stains but is otherwise in good condition. Good

Photograph measures approximately 9" x 7" and is a Wilkes photograph. 14 players plus Jimmy Murphy have signed the photograph. Players signatures are Morris, Anderson, Carey, Aston, Cockburn, Mitten, Chilton, Rowley, Crompton, Pearson (signed twice), Delaney. Three other players dressed in civilian clothes have signed the photograph, Warner, Hanlon and Lynn. The photograph shows the Cup Final team in United strip on the pitch. Excellent item with good signatures. Good

MAN UTD - REAL MADRID 1959 Official Dinner Menu for Manchester United v Real Madrid, 1/10/59 at the Midland Hotel , Manchester. Held after the friendly between the two clubs at Old Trafford and signed on the reverse by the Real Madrid team including Di Stefano, Santamaria, Gento and Puskas. At least 16 signatures. Real won the game 6-1 and this was the first in a series of friendlies between the two clubs as Real demonstrated the close bond between the two clubs. Excellent item. Good

1945-FORCES REPRESENTATIVE Exceedingly rare match-card programme, Kandy Amateur League United Services XI v British Tourists, 4/10/45 at Kandy. The team lists are signed by the players including McShane (Blackburn), Delaney (Arsenal), Curtis (Arsenal) and many other members of the British Professionals Touring Party including Walker (Hearts), Corbett (Celtic), Milne (Celtic). The Kandy side consisted of British Servicemen and they have also signed the match card which belonged to one of their players. There is some paper erosion to the match card around the edges but the line-ups are not affected. Signed by 29 players in ink. The item belonged to Hartburn who played for Kandy and after the War he played for QPR, Millwall, Watford and Orient. Probably one of the scarcest Wartime representative programmes. Fair

BOXING A unique collection relating to boxing in the Nottingham Midland Area circa 1948-1952. The lot comprises a large ledger which was the minute book for the meetings of the North Midlands Council of the British Boxing Board of Control from 18/11/48 to 9/6/50. An invaluable insight into boxing during that period with many problems revolving around money and not trying etc. A promoter called Billy Shinfield features regularly and he had many reasons for not paying boxers on his bills including the cost of black market petrol etc. A second item in the Lot is a scrapbook of cuttings circa 1952, many feature Reg King who was a leading promoter at Nottingham Ice Rink who also fell foul of dealing in the black market including handling black market sugar and watches. Loose cuttings are included and the Lot is full of interest to those who follow boxing from that era. Generally good

A 1990 MG Metro 1300, registration number G99 VPH, British Racing green. With 23,000 miles from new, the MG was originally supplied by Westover Rover, Corfe Mullen, Dorset to its first owner, a lady from the same town, who retained the car until 2002, whereupon it would remain in storage until 2015. On removal from storage the vendor instructed Day Engineering of Henstridge, Dorset to recommission it for the road, carrying out any repairs as necessary (12-10-15). Since then further works have included a carburettor overhaul (4-11-15), removal and cleaning of the fuel tank and sender unit (11-1-16), suspension pump up and underside rust treatment (23-9-16). The accompanying history file contains original service receipts, receipts for the recommissioning, MOTs from 1992, (odometer reading 15,071 miles) to 2002, and 2015 to 2017. With only a believed 94 examples registered on British roads, this low mileage and original MG is now a collector's item. V5C, MOT to October 2017 See illustration
