Circa 6-8th AD pilgrim's flask, probably Palestine, 9.5cm This item is from the collection of Lionel Walrond. Lionel was born in 1927, his parents were tenant farmers on a small dairy farm in Somerset. Sadly, both parents died before Lionel's 4th birthday and he was brought up by aunties and an uncle in Pitney, Somerset. On leaving school he was not drawn to a life in farming but became interested in history and archaeology. This interest lead to the discovery of three Roman mosaics in South Somerset before his 18th birthday! The most famous is the Low Ham Villa (the mosaic has pride of place in the Museum of Somerset). Lionel fervently collected local historical artefacts and set up his own museum on the farm in a converted WWII American Army Nissan hut. Local finds of Roman and neolithic origin were displayed alongside agricultural bygones. Lionel moved to Stroud in 1955 to take up the post of curator at the LansdownMuseum, a post which he held for the following 37 years. He was a member of a number of local and national historical societies and was an elected fellow of the Museum Association.

This is a genuine Ferrari 'Club Fiorano' leather organiser as issued to members of Peter Gethin's rather exclusive track-day club. This is a genuine Ferrari Club Fiorano organiser which I believe to be made by Schedoni, the official Ferrari leather supplier in Italy. There is no Schedoni logo however. Having been kept in its box all its life, it still smells of very expensive leather, like a Ferrari interior. The pages measure around 21cm x 15cm. They were issued only to members of Club Fiorano which was an exclusive group even within Ferrari circles. Only members received this item, and there were not many members. It has the Club Fiorano logo embossed on the front. Club Fiorano was a track-day club run by the legendary Peter Gethin and Ferrari North Europe. The club had its own fleet of Ferrari 360s, an F355 Challenge car, a 550 Maranello and later a 360 Challenge car. This organiser is in extremely good condition and appears entirely unused. In a black 'Club Fiorano branded box.Specification

Finished in Bianco Polo Park paintwork (20-W-152) with Rosso leatherette seats with Nero inserts and matching Rosso carpets. This particular example has been subject to a detailed restoration performed by highly-regarded marque expert, Nick Cartwright, with all invoices on file. Since the restoration, the Dino has remained in dry storage with little use and has recently received further attention from another specialist (invoice on file) to ensure that the car is presented on the button and ready to be enjoyed.Accompanied by its history file containing the detailed overhaul invoices from Nick Cartwright, further maintenance records including the recent re-commissioning for £8,000 by a regarded Ferrari specialist, a letter from Tony Willis confirming the chassis, engine and gearbox numbers match Ferrari records, images of the stamped numbers on each item, its MOT Certificate valid until May 2022 and, importantly, forming part of the sale is the tool kit which nowadays command quite a premium. In summary, this is a great opportunity to get behind the wheel of a super little V6 Ferrari GT from the 70s which ticks all the boxes being right-hand drive, matching numbers, beautifully restored and absolutely on-the-button ready to be enjoyed. With restoration projects recently changing hands for sums in excess of £200,000, we believe the guide on this example is rather appealing.*Forming part of A Sale of Ferraris in association with Ferrari Owners' Club of Great Britain, the buyer of this lot will be entitled to one years free membership with Ferrari Owners Club of Great Britain* lSpecificationMake: FERRARIModel: 246Year: 1972Chassis Number: 04774Registration Number: FRB 359LTransmission: ManualEngine Number: 10181Drive Side: Right-hand DriveOdometer Reading: 34770 MilesMake: RHDInterior Colour: Red LeatheretteClick here for more details and images
