An Anglo-Indian Carved Padouk Wood Double Pedestal Desk, late 19th century, the rectangular top with a carved border above an arrangement of nine drawers with recessed brass handles, all between vine decorated column supports, on turned and carved feet 127cm by 61cm by 77cm The top has numerous deep scratches and bruises. The left-hand end panel has some small splits and some colour loss, the right-hand panel has some further bruising. The verso is unfinished (as photographed). The drawer fronts have some minor splitting/repairs. The desk has a rather varnished finish.

Filmprojektor "Hahn-Goerz" (Zeiss Ikon), um 1926Hahn-Goerz, Kassel. Kinoprojektor der Stummfilmzeit für 35mm-Filme auf Spulen in 600m-Feuerschutztrommeln. Antrieb: wahlweise Handkurbel oder motorischer Betrieb, Motor läuft, Schrittschaltwerk: Malteserkreuz. Die Vorderblende öffnet sich nach dem Zentrifugalprinzip. Beleuchtung durch Kohlebogenlampe in Entlüftergehäuse, am Lampenhaus Kondensor und Kuvette für destilliertes Wasser zur Kühlung des Filmlichtes, alles montiert auf Stahlsäule. - Besonderheit: 1926 entstand durch Zusammenschluss mehrerer Firmen die Zeiss Ikon AG in Dresden. Die Firma Hahn-Goerz hat sich der Zeiss-Ikon-Gruppe angeschlossen und produzierte ab 1927 unter dem Namen Zeiss Ikon. In der Übergangszeit waren Hahn-Goerz-Teile in großer Anzahl vorhanden und wurden weiterverwendet. So erklärt es sich, daß das Lampenhaus und die Feuerschutztrommeln mit dem Hahn-Goerz-Logo versehen sind und auf der Stahlsäule "Zeiss Ikon" steht. - Projektor-Kopf und Lampenhaus sollten neu justiert werden.
