An 18th Century yew wood veneered and feather-banded mule chest, the upper section with rising lid and applied moulded edge over a plain two panel front, the base with single long drawer as three, over a shaped apron to scroll feet, 147.5 cm wide CONDITION REPORTS 63 cm deep x 97 cm high. There appear to be repairs to the veneer on the top in various places. Various very deep scratches, scuffs and marks, lighter scratches, missing sections of veneer, splits, losses to the moulding, etc, throughout. Various splits to the sides and lifting veneers to the sides. Losses of moulding and veneers to the base. Various scratches, scuffs, marks, chips, etc. Top appears to be bowed slightly. Handles and lock to the drawer are replacements. Bottom board needs attention. Various splits and loose sections. All over various chips, marks, scratches, various general signs of wear and tear throughout. Needs attention all over and veneer re-set in places.

ALICE KING (Fl. 1890-1940) "The North Shore Tenby" , "Rhosneigr Anglesey", a pair of oils on panel, signed and dated 1919 and 1918 ? respectively, bear labels verso, 8.4 cm x 11.1 cm, housed in gilt gesso and glazed frames CONDITION REPORTS The picture of Anglesey has some foxing to the skyline in particular and has slightly rippled effect at the base of the picture. Both are in need of a good clean and have general wear and tear. Some wear, flaking, damage to the frames, need re-stringing etc. See images for further details.
English School (19th Century) Portrait of Lieutenant Arthur Boulnois (1830-1852), in the undress / mess kit of the Bengal Engineers, circa 1850 pastel 60 x 50cm (23 x 20in) Provenance: By descent within the family of the sitter Arthur Boulnois was killed on 14th January 1852, shot by the Momunds, in the Michenee territory, Punjab, while riding near the Fort of Dubb. Arthur Boulnois, Lieutenant Bengal Engineers, was the second son of William Boulnois, Esq., of St. John's Wood, London, in his 22nd year. Lieutenant Boulnois is buried at Fort Michni, India. His plaque reads: "Sacred to the memory of Arthur Boulnois who was killed near the fort of Michnee by a band of Momunds on 12 January 1852, chivalrous, accomplished and full of promise, this tablet was erected by comrades who esteemed him while living and sorrow at his loss, his remains lie buried in the ramparts of Fort Michnee". Pastel on paper mounted onto wooden panel. Appears to be in a good condition but dirt and potential mould growth on inside of glass is affecting the surface of the work. Reverse covered in paper with a build up of dust and dirt behind. Chips and losses to frame.

The one has a loose Trafalgar rope bar and panel missing its inlay. The other three have various splits and damages to bar. May at some point have been re-caned.

Mattress size 56ins x 78ins - double. Condition report: V-Spring "The Sublime" mattress included. Good condition. Bed probably oak.
Union Flag marked CJP 6 Jack flown from HMS Coventry (D118) in March 1982. The flag was sent home from Gibraltar on orders of HMS Coventry's captain, David Hart Dyke before HMS Coventry sailed south on the 2nd April 1982. Documented letter from Lt Commander C.J Pollard RNR who was the Master Gunner on HMS Coventry in 1982. This ship was later bombed and sunk by two bombs from low flying Argentinian A4 Skyhawk aircraft on 25 May 1982 with the loss of 19 crew and 30 injured. After the ship was struck, her crew, waiting to be rescued, sang "Always look on the Bright Side of Life" from Monty Python's Life of Brian., also including an Original Royal Navy Sea Dart Missile Load and Fire Control Unit from a Type 42 Destroyer similar to HMS Coventry HMS Coventry was the first warship to fire Sea Dart surface-to-air missiles in anger when she fired three on 9 May at two Argentinian Learjets which missed the aircraft. Confirmed kills was an Puma helicopter and two A-4 Skyhawk attack aircraft, an Original Royal Navy Sea Dart Missile Loading/Jettison Synchro Panel, Original Radar Type 909 Control Unit taken from a Type 42 Destroyer for the Sea Dart Missile System this radar was used to illuminate the target aircraft for the Sea Dart missile to lock onto the signal. This unit proved ineffective with low flying Argentinian Skyhawk aircraft with the radar unable to distinguish between the aircraft and the land and was unable to lock on to the attacking aircraft and Argentinian Skyhawk Aircraft C-215 Identification Panel and Indicator Angle of Attack Panel from Mariano Velasco's Skyhawk used to sink HMS Coventry and shot down by HMS Intrepid in San Carlos waters. 27th May 1982 Skyhawk Identification Panel of Neil Wilkinson HMS Intrepid shot down pilot sunk HMS Coventry 40mm cannon firing off six rounds. Lt Mariano Velasoco one of Skyhawk pilots credited for leading the attack and sinking of HMS Coventry and the only survivor in a squadron of 13 pilots. Plane crashed on Falklands West Island and pilot ejected and after suffering leg injuries walked in below zero temperatures to meet Argentinian forces on the island. Vintage Slavic Embroidered Three Piece Ladies Outfit. Comprising jacket, skirt and apron. Jacket in navy blue cotton with red cotton and cream crochet trim and intricate hand embroidery in traditional cross stitch design. Jacket is a short bolero style with long full sleeves trimmed with cream crochet lace. Crochet trim collar and metal zip fastening marked 'Lightning' - possibly a later addition. Full length circular skirt in dark blue slub cotton blend with heavy glazed cotton underskirt and single button back fastening. Full length apron comprises extra long blue sash fastening with heavily embroidered hem. Central panel trimmed in cream crochet lace, bands of heavily embroidered cotton and cream lace crochet inserts. Hook and eye fastening to apron sash and concealed pocket to reverse. Approx measurements, skirt, 28 inches to waist, 41 inches in length. Apron,29 inches in width, 42.5 inches in length. Jacket 17 inches in length, shoulder seam 18 inches, sleeve length 23 inches. In very good vintage condition, embroidery all intact, some discolouration to lace crochet.
