Commodus wore a cape with decorative pins when he battled Maximus Decimus Meridius (Russell Crowe) in the Colosseum. While similar to the style worn on the Praetorian uniform, these pins have been coated in white paint with only a small amount of the base gold color visible. On their reverses are thin metal bars designed to attach to Commodus' cape. The pins come backed with a laser-cut mount board in a custom-built display frame featuring an opening front panel and the film's title artwork and stills. This hand-painted resin model with plastic, foam, and metal details features a detailed cockpit canopy opening, four engines, and the words "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" printed alongside the presidential seal and Air Force insignias. Wiring is concealed beneath a detachable panel on the bottom. A rare Schönner Gauge IV (75mm) live steam SECR 'Wainwright' 4-4-0 Locomotive and Tender for restoration, the locomotive having lacquered brass boiler, most steel parts (cab, splashers etc) roughly painted in mid-green, with twin outside cylinders driving rearmost axle only, outside eccentric-worked valve-gear through rocking levers, drain cocks to cylinder fronts and regulator (seized) operated from right side of cab, the crossheads and other motion parts stamped '16.', (presumably a serial number as these cannot have been made in large numbers,) overall P-F, missing boiler handrails, chimney, one cylinder drain handle, burner, whistle top, water gauge fittings and possibly other smaller parts, left cylinder seized, the tender in semi-dismantled state, P, missing rear panel, couplings, several handrails (although most fittings intact) and generally rusty, though underframe and wheels appear essentially complete (2)

Rubens' original composition is in the Gemäldegalerie, Berlin.Condition report: Oil on a wooden oak panel. The panel is formed from three boards in horizontal alignment. Original tool marks and bevels are present on the reverse. The upper join has been reglued and animal glue is evident on the reverse. The lower join has movement at either end with associated paint loss. The panel has a slight vertical curvature, it is poorly held in the frame with bent nails at all four sides, probably restricting movement. The paint layer is a in a stable condition. In the figure of Christ there are two circular indentations in the paint layer. Retouching appears to be confined to the panel joins and small areas at the edges of the panel. The painting has a thick, uneven varnish layer which has discoloured. There are scuffs and abrasion to the varnish and a layer of surface dirt present.

The metal support has a slight concave curvature but is generally in plane with no deformations. There are localised areas of raised paint and small losses although this is not extensive. Areas of retouching cover some of the old losses as well as abrasion at the edges of the painting. The retouching is very matte and has darkened. The varnish layer is glossy and even but slightly yellowed. The ornate frame is in a very good condition, the top ornament makes the work very top heavy and it is recommended that the current hanging system of string is replaced with something sturdier. Overall size including frame 81 x 52cm. Maximum depth of carved top approx 17cm

The thin paint layers are slightly raised following the horizontal woodgrain. In some areas this has led to fine scale losses and abrasion. There is retouching across the surface but mainly found in the sky. There appears to be two campaigns of overpaint, one is brushy and applied in a wholesale manner while other areas are finely applied following the horizontal lines. The retouching has darkened over time. The varnish is semi-matte and even but slightly yellowed.

The wooden panel is formed from two boards in horizontal alignment. Three vertical battens are present which appear to be part of the original construction. The panel join has slight movement at the right hand side which has disrupted the paint layer but overall the support is in plane. The paint layers are in a good condition overall. At the right hand side is a small dent and paint loss caused by impact. The varnish is slightly yellowed but even, with a few scuffs and scratches. A surface dirt layer is present with a few fly spots. The slip of the frame has cracked, possibly due to the weight of the panel itself.

German School, 19th century, manner of Dirck Stoop'The Forge'incised 'Die Shmiede' (sic) verso, oil on metal21 x 25cmCondition report: Oil on metal panel. There are a few minor deformations to the metal panel in the upper half. The largest dent at the upper left corner has affected the paint layer causing losses. Retouchings are mainly located in the sky, including the damage at the upper left corner, and are well matched to the original. The varnish layer has been thickly applied, it is generally clear and semi-matte.

The panel is formed from one board and appears to be a section of reused wood. The panel is in plane and the paint layers are in a good, stable condition. There are areas of overpaint across the surface, mainly covering wear and small damages. The overpaint is fairly well matched to the original. The varnish is semi-matte and slightly even but acceptable.

English Naive School, 19th centuryA three-masted steamer in a harbouroil on panel41 x 89cmThis is believed to be HMS Warrior, the world's first iron warship, which, when launched in 1860, rendered every other warship afloat obsolete.Condition report: Oil on wooden panel. Vertical lines are evident in the paint layers following joins in the panel and supporting batten. The paint has moved along these joins and is slightly raised in texture. The paint layer is in a stable condition overall. There is extensive overpaint in the sky, possibly two campaigns, one which has slightly darkened and become purple in appearance. The varnish layer is semi-matte and slightly yellowed.

An Italian maiolica wine jug for the Greek market,early 19th century, Pesaro, of baluster form, set with a scrolling handle and shaped spout, raised on a circular base, the body painted in tones of blue and yellow with floral and foliate scrolls, centred with a panel bearing a jovial inscription, painted marks to base, 18cm highPieces such as this were made for export in the years following the 1821 Greek War of Independence, in which they were liberated from the Ottoman Empire. The Greek inscription translates as 'Beloved brother, drink moderately, do not get drunk so that we may pass our time in friendship and never inimically'. This year sees a year-long celebration, called 'Greece 2021', in honour of the bicentennial jubilee of the beginning of the Greek Revolution.Condition report: Restoration and overpainting to handle and rim - this is very visible when viewed under UV. There appears to be one area of retouching along the top of the panel which is slightly mismatched to the original. The varnish is slightly yellowed but even and semi-glossy.
