An Ormolu and Bronze Striking Mantel Clock, signed Alph Giroux, A Paris, circa 1880, case depicting a central urn with flowers and flanked with bronze cherubs reclining, base with white marble panels and floral scroll mounts, 3-3/4-inch enamel dial with Arabic and Roman numerals, twin barrel movement with outside countwheel striking on a bell, backplate stamped Vincenti and numbered 409, 38cm by 42cm see illustration 11.02.20 Ormolu surfaces are faded, minor chips to the front white marble panels, left hand side marble panel with a small piece missing, dial with some chips, movement needs cleaning, strike working, with pendulum.
A Good Louis XV Style Kingwood, Marquetry and Ormolu Mounted Vitrine, late 19th century, with breche de lap marble top above a central glazed door with marquetry panel depicting figures in a landscape, the bowed glass door applied with flower garlands flanked by glazed wings and a sliding tambour base in the form of faux- leather books, on cabriole legs with foliate mounts and scrolled sabots, 103cm by 35cm by 154cm See illustration Provenance: Ravenhurst House Sale, 15 & 16 April 1964, lot 193Original marble top with some fritting and small faults. With key. Generally in good original condition apart from the lower section where the leather faux books are rather scuffed and there is some slight fading to the lower section. 110220
A Scottish Mahogany Longcase Regulator, signed H&R Millar, Edinburgh, late 19th century, architectural pediment, trunk door with a bevelled glass panel, 12-1/2-inch circular silvered dial, two dials for seconds and hours, outer minute track with corresponding minute hand, large single weight driven movement with a deadbeat escapement, jewelled pallets, six spoke wheels, maintaining power, mercury glass tube pendulum, (mercury now removed from tube), sold with separate mercury to refill the tube if necessary, 196cm high see illustration 29.01.20 Case has been cleaned to a high standard, hood door with small cracks, front panel of the plinth with cracks and some of the cracks have been filled, dial with small scratch marks at 12, movement is clean, with pendulum, (mercury now removed from the pendulum tube, sold with separate mercury to refill the tube if necessary.
A Longquan Celadon Dish, Ming dynasty, carved with a central foliate panel within a broad fluted border, 41cm diameter, with a later hardwood stand carved and pierced with scrolls See illustration. 3.5cm flat rim chip and 2.5cm restored rim chip. Typical surface wear, particularly to raised sections. Stand with repaired section to reverse. 050220
A George III Mahogany, Crossbanded and Ebony Strung Chest on Chest, early 19th century, the bold cornice above two short and three long drawers, all between canted fluted stiles, the base of three deep drawers, on bracket feet, 115cm by 54cm by 189cm. Recently restored and polished, so good cosmetic condition. Left hand panel upper section split has been partly filled and polished. Small scuff to lower section. Right hand panel upper section with two splits which have been filled and polished. Lower section with some slight bruising. Cockbeading and moulded around middle to drawer fronts with some minor bruising/repairs, but overall good. 050220

A Brass Striking Carriage Clock, signed Duval Rue D Orleans 8 A Paris, circa 1840, carrying handle, back door panel with winding hole shutter lever, one piece silvered dial with Roman numerals and signed, twin barrel movement with a platform lever escapement and striking on a bell, movement backplate signed to the side, 19cm high over handle see illustration 30.01.20 Case with surface scratches, surfaces are rubbed and discoloured in parts, dial is clean, movement is complete, strike is functioning, movement in going order.
A George III Burr Elm Bureau, 2nd half 18th century, the fall enclosing a fitted interior of pigeon holes and removeable central drawers, the base with one sham, two short and two long drawers, on later bracket feet, 100cm by 54cm by 107cm. Small splits throughout. Two patch repairs visible to the right side of the fall escutcheon. Small old handle marks visible on all drawer fronts. Bottom two drawers with fine split to drawer fronts. Left hand panel with shrinkage split running from the base up to the middle of the fall front (see image). Opposing side reasonable. Interior in generally good condition, with old scratches above the sliding well. Bracket feet later. 040220
A 19th Century Dutch Mahogany and Marquetry Inlaid Bedside Cupboard, the top inlaid with an oval panel of flowers with sliding tambour door below and long narrow frieze drawer, on square tapering legs decorated with trailing flowers, 57cm by 34cm by 72cm. Top section marquetry inlay with some losses and faults. Some small repair marks, mainly around the corners. Base section generally good apart from the rear back panel which has a natural? split. Small veneer losses around the back edge. 100220
A Louis XV Style Kingwood and Parquetry Decorated Commode, circa 1900, with a violet dura brocatelle marble top above two deep drawers with rococo style cast handles, all between foliate mounts and a shape apron, 83cm by 40cm by 82cm See illustration. Marble top with numerous deep scratches. Metal mounts of average quality. Left hand side panel with some an old shrinkage split which has been partly filled and polished. Some minor veneer losses around legs. Both drawers open but no key. 100220
An Art Deco Diamond, Sapphire and Emerald Brooch, the oblong panel formed of three sections to an outer border, an oval cut emerald centrally with a line of step cut sapphires running the length of the brooch to borders of round brilliant cut diamonds, in white claw and millegrain settings, total estimated diamond weight 3.00 carat approximately, measures 5.4cm by 1.6cm see illustration . The brooch is in good condition. It bears no hallmark nor stamp but in our opinion would test as gold. The approximate qualities of the diamonds are; colour H/I/J, clarity SI1/SI2/I1. Gross weight 9.9 grams. CR made 07.02.20.
A Silver-Mounted Blue Aventurine Glass Snuff-Box, Apparently Unmarked, Circa 1780, cartouche shaped and with fluted sides, the hinged cover set with a blue aventurine glass panel, simulating lapis lazuli, 7cm wide Aventurine, or goldstone, glass was originally invented in Italy in the 17th century and has been used in place of hardstones throughout the 18th and into the 19th century. Other examples of its use to simulate lapis lazuli include on another snuff-box, with marks for London, 1743 (Bonhams, London, 6 October 2010, lot 259) and on a necessaire (offered Christie's, Amsterdam 22 June 2011, lot 474).

An early 20th century Persian white metal vase, of tulip shape, having all-over foliate engraved decoration, the centre panel depicting female figures seated with animals at their feet, the opposing panel with figures in a woodland setting, makers mark to the foot rim overstamped VAHE (possibly Vartan beneath), further stamped to the foot rim 84 and with Arabic script, 430g, h.31cm
A Japanese black lacquered and shibyama decorated four-panel screen, the whole decorated with mother of pearl and bone figure, object and landscape scenes, all within a gilded border, h.182cm, w.160cm.We would suggest built in the 2nd quarter of the last century.All inlays complete.One palm leaf is restored.Some gilt wear but generally good.

Charles Robert Doyly-John (1906-1993) - Mediterranean Coast with Boats and Buildings, palette knife oil on board, signed lower right, 19 x 24cmCondition: Panel is loose within frame. Losses to paint at edges of all sides, particularly top edge and left hand edge. A little surface grubbiness to paint. This appears a preparatory piece for a larger work.

There are two quite small white marks near the top edge and another two similar near the bottom edge which probably denote slight paint loss in those areas but apart from this the painting is in good condition with no significant issues.

A CHINESE GREEN HARDSTONE AND DIAMOND BROOCH made in white metal throughout, with flower carved panels, and rose cut diamonds set to the foliate central panel, dimensions 5.3cm x 1.6cm, largest diamond diameter approx 2.6mm, weight 7.8gms Condition Report: A corner of one of the hardstone panels has been broken off, the rose cut diamonds are all in closed back settings and look a little dusty under a loope. Otherwise nicely made, clasp works fine.
