An early 19th century oak paneled coffer. The four sectioned lid above an ironwork lock and paneled sides and front, L124cm x D54cm x H65cm Condition Report: Replacement hinges, the inside right panel has had two hinges at some stage. The lock looks original key present, but the latch might be a replacement. The moldings on the top are different.
A fine mahogany Regency secretaire bookcase with reeded columns. The top section having a moulded cornice above a pair of astragal glazed doors which open to five adjustable shelves. The lower section having a secretaire drawer with ebony beaded inlay with brass lion-mask ring handles and fitted with a green baize writing surface enclosing a bank of nine drawers and six pigeon holes. The lower section of two ebony inlaid panel doors opening to three sliding shelves, raised on turned toupie supports. L134cm x D58cm x H243cm Condition Report: Measurements amended. Overall in good condition. Lower right side rim has been re-attached. Upper left corner of the base has been badly knocked and cracked. Section of edging missing on left side of lower section. Structurally sound. Lock has been amended. Scratches and signs of wear consistent with age and usage. Approximately five glass panels have hirline cracks. All handles for the interior sections are missing (likely removed due to ivory). Doors and drawers open smoothly. A cup stain and burn mark. No signs of worm or damp. Colours good.
French carriage clock c1910 with strike and repeat work in a corniche case with beadwork, eight-day spring driven movement, striking the hours on a gong, with a replacement lever platform escapement, enamel dial with Roman numerals, minute track and steel spade hands, with the original velvet lined traveling box with viewing panel and key. Strike and repeat work needs attention.
