A 19th Century French gilt metal posy holder of tapering trefoil form, each side applied with stylized flowerhead panels set with three citrines alternating with three blue pastes, above an oval porcelain plaque painted with the head and shoulders portrait of a young girl, flanked by two circular blue glass cabochons above three cabochon amethysts, on a mother-of-pearl handle fitted with a fan shaped aide-mémoire, the front decorated with an oval enamelled panel, painted with flowers against a blue ground, length of posy holder approx 16cm.
