JOY DIVISION - AN IDEAL FOR LIVING (PSS 139 UK ORIGINAL). A fantastic clean original UK copy (self-released on Enigma Records PSS 139) of Joy Division's elusive debut release, An Ideal For Living. This is the first pressing with serrated rim and matrix/runout PSS 139 EP A1 EG & PSS 139 EP B1 EG. The record is in super Ex condition. Showing only a couple of very light and minor surface hairline marks to the playing surfaces, the labels are also clean and sharp showing some rather light spindle marks. he original four-panel sleeve is in stunning Ex+ condition. There is very little wear throughout with none of the usual creasing on the 'joining' edges. There is also very little discolouration to the 'white' colour with this copy appearing to have only been handled sparingly over its 43 year existence... A smashing copy of the EP that 'wasn't a concept but an enigma'.

Tarnishing throughout, minor polish holes are evident. The easel back of one of the silver ones has been broken away, but is still present and it is lacking the glass front. Minor knocks and dents.

The diamonds are well matched, although far too small to grade. The diamonds are probably approx 0.05ct each, with slightly larger diamonds for the centre stones, which are collet set to each panel. A very wearable piece and overall in good condition.

The thread is missing from the pendulum. There are old repairs to the veneer, splits and losses to the veneer to the sides, old repair and losses to corner of the hood, same to the other side with a large split to the upper side panel on the right. Glass appears original although we cannot guarantee this.
