A 1930s British pith helmet. With a khaki six-panel-covered crown, pointed peak and rounded rear brim surrounded by a multi-fold linen pagri band, lined with green cotton under brim and a crown lining, with a red leather 'Burberry's Ltd, Haymarket' makers label, leather chinstrap with brass buckle. In a Gieves hat tin, with a plaque and 'R. G. Bliss' to the front Condition Report: This is privately consigned. Internal hat measurements 19.5cm x 17cm.
A Regency mourning ring and a brooch. The first with platted hair, inscribed Nancy Robinson 6 Dec 1815, the second decorated with seed pearls (no hallmarks). Condition Report: Ring is size R. With evidence of two incisions to band suggesting it has been resized, some typical wear, the inset glass containing the hair is slightly loose. The brooch is Victorian and is of yellow metal, it is lacking the hair and glass panel which should be inset at the back, the bar to brooch is misshapen, the brooch fittings and chain with areas of solder and these have probably been reinforced or repaired. Minor wear.
