The 3" enamel dial with Arabic numerals fronting an eight-day spring driven movement with original lever escapement striking the hours/half hours on a gong - hallmark for William Comyns & Sons, London. 191322.5cm high handle upThe inlaid panel to the front has three cracks to the top, one side panel has a crack in the top corner, the other side panel has a small piece missing from the top corner, and the caddy top has a tiny crack in the back bottom corner on the corner edge, the dial has no damage, the glass lens is loose and chipped to the edge, the movement ticks and strikes when wound but is dirty and will need a service.

The 13" arched brass dial with masked spandrels, Roman and Arabic numerals surrounding a matted engraved centre with subsidiary seconds dial and calendar aperture, rotating moonphase to the arch with engraved verses fronting an eight-day weight driven movement with anchor escapement striking on a bell218cm highThe clock is in good overall unrestored condition, the movement and dial are original to case, the case is dirty bust has a good colour and patination, the glass in the swan neck is damaged on one side, the side mouldings to the top of the hood have some small losses, the feet are missing from the base, the dial has lost its silvered finish, the movement runs when wound but will require a service, the calendar and moonphase drive wheels have been removed, seatboard is original and sits nicely on the cheeks. No splits or warping to the door or case.

There are very fine hairline cracks in the chapter ring on the dial but there is no other damage to the calendar and clock face. One side glass panel has damage to the top left corner. We cannot guarantee mechanical parts.The backplate has no makers mark, just numbered.

The back glass panel has a chip in the corner and the top glass panel has chips to the left edge. The dial has a small crack in the top left corner which is not visible unless tipped upside down. The movement is complete, striking and repeating the correct hours and ticking with the original lever escapement but may need a service.

The movement has a replaced seatboard and is blocked up slightly on the cheeks, the movement is original to dial and the dial is in good condition. The movement is clean and looks to have been recently serviced but is missing the outside countwheel. In our opinion the signature on the dial plate is original. It comes with original brass cased weights.
