An 18ct gold Edwardian ring, set with an old cut diamond, a 15ct gold Victorian bar brooch the central panel set with a diamond point and ruby detail and a 9ct gold oval shell cameo pendant with chain. Hallmark`s for Birmingham 1902 and 1911.Weight 15gms. Condition: All three items are in overall good condition. The ring is bent out of shape. bruising is present. The diamond is bright. The brooch is tarnished. The rubies are bright and the diamond point is dull. The shell cameo depicts the side profile of an elegant lady. Light scratches and scuffs can be seen to all three items, general wear.
An early Victorian diamond cluster ring, with a central oval panel of rose cut diamonds. Length of cluster 1.9cms, width 1.4cms. Weight 4.90gms. Condition: The ring is in overall fair condition. There are scratches to the ring shank in keeping with the age of the piece, there are joining lines to the inside of the ring shank at each shoulder. Some of the claws to the diamonds appear quite rubbed and would need to be checked. The rose cut diamonds are actually quite bright with inclusions visible to some. The head of the ring appears to have been possibly repaired at a later date with lead solder visible in places. Ring size M.

Estimated total diamond weight 0.20cts. Weight 7.95gms. Condition: The bangle is in overall fair/poor condition. The back of the bangle is bent out of shape and would need attention. There is discolouration and scratches to the bangle, specifically to the back of the centre panel. Both of the diamonds are heavily included and chipped. There are visible inclusions to the rubies.

Condition: The ring is in overall good condition, there are slight scratches to the cufflinks in keeping with slight wear. The split pearls have a slightly poor lustre and appear quite pale grey in body colour.

Condition: The pendant is in overall good condition. The nacre to the blister pearls is cracked and damaged in places. The clasp is damaged and in need of repair. There are scratches to the tapered links, the chain does not appear original to the piece and has been added at a later date.

They have minor surface wear in terms of scratches in keeping with general use and being worn. One link on the necklace is slightly stretched.

Length of brooch 7cms, width 3.9cms. Length of earrings 5cms. Total weight 18.51gms. Condition: The brooch is in overall fair condition. There are dents to the back of the brooch and scratches to the rim in keeping with the age of the piece, there is dirt to some of the raised detail. The split pearls are well matched, there is slight wear to the blue enamel stars, one of the tassel drops has slight damage to one of the links. The earrings are in overall good condition, there are scratches to the back of each, two tassels are missing from one earring.
Four early 20th century heart pendants, to include a hinged locket with a central turquoise and seed pearl cluster and vacant internal panel, a small 9ct gold pendant set with a single turquoise cabochon, an Edwardian 15ct gold pendant with a cultured pearl and diamond cluster and one other pendant. Hallmarked Birmingham 1904. Weight 7gms. Condition: All four pendants are in overall good condition. Some of the stones may have been replaced. All settings will need attention. Light scratches, scuffs and bruising can be seen, general wear.

Condition: The bangle is in fair/poor condition. There is a dent to the back of the bangle and scratches and dents to all of the bangle. There is tarnishing to the indented detail, the safety chain has become detached at the one end. The jump rings are metal and heavily tarnished.
A sapphire and diamond necklace, the central panel of leaf decoration is claw set with oval sapphires and brilliant cut diamonds attached to a flat curb link chain. Estimated diamond weight 0.65cts. Necklet stamped 750, safety chain stamped 9K. Length 41cms. Weight 19.6gms. Condition: Overall good condition, with minor surface scratches in keeping with general wear, some of the stones have minor abrasions and some setting may need attention. The clasp is in good working order. The sapphires have a dark body colour and colour zoning and inclusions can be seen in some. Diamonds are quite dull.
Two 9ct gold regimental brooches, to include an RAF pilot`s wing brooch, with a blue enamelled background to the central panel and red enamel crown (length 4.2cms), also a Royal Navy officer`s cap badge style brooch with red enamel crown. Both stamped 9ct. Total weight 6.0gms. Condition: Both brooches are in overall good/fair condition. The enamel to the crown of the Royal Navy Officers brooch is chipped, there are slight scratches and areas of dirt to the bar. The other brooch is in good condition, the pin is metal and has possibly been replaced, there are slight scratches in places.

There are slight scratches to the wishbone, we believe the bug to have been added at a later date. The sapphire is of medium blue with an even saturation of colour running throughout the stone. The diamonds are nice and bright, there is a black inclusion to the table face of the diamond visible with 10x magnification. The pin and catch is secure.

Two Victorian brooches, to include an oval brooch with a central garnet surrounded by foliate detail and photo back panel and an Etruscan style brooch, with a central split pearl cluster, blue enamel detail and detailed border. Both AF. Condition: Both brooches are in overall poor condition. There is heavy tarnishing to the oval brooch, specifically to the back rim, the back pin has been replaced, there is tarnishing to the outer foliate detail. The other brooch is dented out of shape in places, one termination appears to have been altered and repaired with a flat termination, making the brooch appear uneven, there is tarnishing to the central rim, some of the split pearls are more grey in colour. There also appears to be repair where the back panel to the catch has been replaced, dents, scratches and areas of tarnishing to all of the brooch.

A Victorian garnet set snake design brooch, circa 1840, in an intertwined design with a pear shape cabochon set head and suspended drop. Length 2.3cms, width 3cms. Weight 4.41gms. AF. Condition: The brooch is in overall fair condition. The hollow crossover centre panel has split to the back and would need attention. The garnets are well matched, the suspended with some small surface reaching inclusions, there are scattered inclusions running throughout the stone. The pin is metal and has been replaced.
An early 20th century 15ct gold aquamarine and seed pearl pendant, the central seed pearl circular lattice style panel surmounted by a bow with a central suspended oval aquamarine and three further drops on a belcher link chain. Length of pendant 4.7cms. Length of chain 44cms. Pendant and chain AF. Condition: The pendant and chain are in overall fair to good condition. Two seed pearls are missing. A jump ring has been replaced near the clasp of the chain. The principal aquamarine has a vivid blue hue with an even saturation of colour running throughout the stone. The three suspended aquamarines have a green to blue hue. The saturation appears to be even, however there is dirt to the back of the settings. Light rain inclusions can be seen to each stone. Nibbles can be seen to the facet edges of the stones. Minor surface scratches and tarnish can be seen to the metal.

Estimated total diamond weight 0.40cts, colour J-K, clarity P1-2. Stamped 18ct. Condition: The ring is in overall fair/poor condition. There is abrasion to the facet edges of the sapphire and also to the surrounding collet, the collets to both outer diamonds are also worn, one appears to be splitting down to the base. There are near surface reaching fractures to both diamonds, some of the diamond points are chipped and the settings would need to be checked. There are slight scratches to the ring shank. Ring size N1/2.
Two enamelled rings, to include a gentleman`s French enamelled ring and a 15ct gold Edwardian ring with seed pearl detail and inner hair panel. Hallmark for Chester 1904. Weight 7gms. AF. Condition: Overall poor to fair condition. The seed pearl ring has a rubbed but legible hallmark, the hair panels are not covered so are very dirty, the enamel is chipped and damaged in places, with wear to the gold in keeping with the age of the ring. Ring size M. The French gentleman`s ring has significant amounts of green enamel missing from the flags, some of the engraving is slightly rubbed, the ring is thinning at the back and looks like it has been repaired where it was starting to split. Ring size R.

There are scratches and areas of discolouration to the centre panel in keeping with the age of the piece. Some of the turquoise are far more green in colour and others more turquoise, some possibly replaced, the seed pearls are well matched in colour. The associated chain has dents to all links and the replaced drop is heavily tarnished.

Several of the spiders legs to the one bar brooch have broken off, there are scratches are areas of discolouration to the bar brooch. The pin to the baby brooch is metal and has been replaced, there are slight scratches and dents to the brooch and quite serious scratches in places, the catch to the pin has also been replaced and there is visible lead solder. There are slight scratches to the bar brooch, there are some areas of discolouration and slight dents in places.

Condition: The bangle is in overall fair condition. There are slight scratches to the bangle in keeping with the age of the piece. All of the sapphires appear quite hazy and translucent, the central has easily visible angular colour zoning and one of the outer stones visible silk when the sapphire is turned. The profuse inclusions affect the light transmission throughout the stones. Nearly all of the diamond points are chipped and fairly dull. The clasp is secure.

Chips can be seen to the surface of the sapphire`s. Inclusions and colour zoning can also be seen. The diamonds are bright and lively.

Chikanobu (Toyohara) [Chiyoda Castle] album of 36 oban colour-printed woodblock panels to form 12 triptychs in two sets of 6 mounted back to back some heightened and all edged with silver in good condition folding concertina-style into contemporary silk boards paper title panel mounted on 4to 1897. *** Toyohara Chikanobu (1838-1912) was a very highly regarded artist of the Meiji period. He favoured the triptych form for his woodblock prints and apart from the traditional themes of mythology and heroic history produced series on courtly life in Chiyoda Castle otherwise known as Edo Castle. This was the original imperial palace which since 1947 has also given its name to the wider district in central Tokyo that contains many important government buildings the supreme court and foreign embassies. Subjects depicted in this album include equestrian sports processions audiences ceremonial and other courtly scenes.

Lock of Napoleon`s hair inscribed: “A lock of Buonaparte`s hair.” (2). Provenance: “The enclosed lock of the hair of Napoleon Buonaparte formed part of a portion of hair taken from the head after death by Count Montholon. With this gentleman the writer was and is intimately acquainted and he obtained some of the hair from Genl. Montholon on the passage to England on board the Camel Store Ship on the 1st July 1821. W. Henry. Ast. Surgeon 66 Regt 62 Nelson Square 27th November 1821.” (3). Panel addressed to Sir Astley Cooper inscribed: “Most True & most valuable AC.” *** Walter Henry (army officer and surgeon and sportsman 1791-1860) “In December 1811 he [Henry] became an assistant surgeon in the 66th Foot with which he served throughout the Peninsular War... . †† Follower of Hans Eworth (Flemish, 1515-1574) Portrait said to be Thomas, 4th Duke of Norfolk, KG (1538-1572) with the Norfolk Coat-of-Arms and Motto oil on panel in an ornate gilded frame 47 x 38cm (18.33 x 14.82in) Thomas Howard, 4th Duke of Norfolk, was the son of the executed poet, Henry Howard, Earl of Surrey, and he was second cousin to Queen Elizabeth I, through Elizabeth I`s mother`s family. He married three times-to the heiress Mary FitzAlan, who died in childbirth; secondly, to Margaret Audley; and thirdly, to Elizabeth Leyburne. Howard was imprisoned by Queen Elizabeth in 1569 for scheming to wed Mary Queen of Scots. With King Philip II of Spain he was a participator in the Ridolfi Plot to put Mary on the English throne and restore Catholicism to England. The 4th Duke of Norfolk was executed for treason in 1572 and he is buried within the walls of the Tower of London. There is another version of this portrait at Audley End House
