Bakhtiari tasheh (grain sack) in pile on plainweave ground probably Sefid Dasht Chahar Mahal west Iran early 20th century overall 3ft. x 3ft.6in. 0.91m. x 1.07m. Woven from undyed wool throughout; this has the less frequently encountered design of a rectangular piled panel on one face with a straight (as opposed to the more usual mallet-shaped panel seen on the previous lot) narrow base panel adjacent.
