GIUSEPPE GHEDUZZI (Italian 1889-1957); oil on panel, figures ploughing a field with oxen lead plough, signed, inscribed on a Galleria Bolzani of Milan label verso, 50 x 64cm, framed. (D) CONDITION REPORT: There are two very light surface scratches to the image and would benefit from a light clean, however overall presented in good original condition. An Edwardian black leather evening purse with pen work decorated ivory panel in white metal mounts, a garden scene with lovers within a decorative border, 19.5 x 10cm, a further leather purse and two mesh examples, a Halden's British made wallet with drawing instruments, a pair of opera glasses, a vesta and a leather pocket watch fob and a sequin decorated fan.
A good quality reproduction mahogany demi-lune side cabinet, the radially veneered crossbanded top set with a broad inlaid panel above similarly decorated frieze set with three drawers above three cupboard doors, all set with detailed inlaid urns on square section supports, width 123cm. CONDITION REPORT: This cabinet has been very well looked after and is in a good condition. Height 96cm, depth 51.5cm.
A large 17th century oak court cupboard, the moulded cornice above carved frieze inscribed "Edward Standley 1687", with turned drops above twin carved cupboard doors and central carved panel within a carved script "I am thy soveraigne lord and god which have thee brought from carefvl thral and eke reclaimd from pharaos roo make it thee no gods on them to call", the base also with carved detailing throughout, two rows of cupboard doors raised on stile supports, the reverse of the court cupboard having the unusual feature of further hinged doors, height 173cm, width 194cm. CONDITION REPORT: Has been at Brynderwen Hall for generations and has signs of use throughout. Old woodworm, panels need fixing and a few splits and knocks. Victorian embellishment to base, and later carving.
An early 20th century mahogany wardrobe with Art Deco style inlay either side of a hinged door set with an oval bevelled mirror above a drawer and bracket feet, a double bed head with floral inlaid central panel, with modern fixing attached, a chest of drawers with string inlay decoration with two short above two long drawers, squared legs and a matching tallboy with a pair of hinged doors above three drawers (4).
