A GEORGE III MAHOGANY LONGCASE CLOCK having an arched brass dial with embossed spandrels, second hand date aperture and strike/silent dial by Thomas Grignion, Covent Garden, London, the hood with canted corners and brass ball finial with moulded panel door, base and bracket feet, approximately 7 ft 4" high overall (see illustration). Note: Thomas Grignion is a member of a family of clock makers and is recorded at working at No. 7 Great Russell Street, Covent Garden, circa 1780-1825.

Denton, Hull with eight day striking movement, the case with blind fretwork decoration, brass finials, fluted columns and arched panel door on a plain base with bracket feet, 97" high overall (see illustration).
