1960s/70s London Underground enamel FRIEZE PANEL from the platforms at Old Street either on the Northern Line or the Northern City Line that was part of the Underground until 1975. Measures 43" x 9" (109cm x 23cm). A few small blemishes but generally an excellent example. [1]

1950s/60s London Underground enamel PLATFORM FRIEZE PANEL from the Piccadilly Line platforms at Holborn station. Unusually, these were made with the line colour in a lighter shade of blue later associated with the Victoria Line. One of a small number of stations where the panels included the 'bullseye' with the line name. Measures 62" x 9" (158cm x 23cm). A few scratches and small chips but generally a very good example. These were interspersed with the station-name panels on the High Barnet platforms. The first example we have seen at auction of this very unusual panel. Measures 50" x 9" (127cm x 23cm). A few small chips at the screw-holes but generally in very good condition. [1]

1950s/60s Stratford Blue timetable panel enamel HEADER PLATE. Stratford-upon-Avon Blue Motors was a subsidiary of Midland Red but retained its separate identity until 1971 . Measures 9" x 3.5" (23cm x 9cm). Enamel loss at one corner but otherwise in very good, ex-use condition. [1]

Lot 461

Pair of London Transport bus stop TIMETABLE PANEL FRAMES, the first is full-size (takes 3 panels), the second 2/3rds-size (takes 2 panels). Wooden frames with glass panels. The first contains a full-size panel dated September 1951 for Stage 5 of the post-war tram-to-bus conversion programme and the second contains a 1967 panel for Rover tickets and a 1962 panel for the final stage of the trolleybus-to-bus conversion programme. The frames are in very good, ex-use condition. [2]

c1940s London Underground enamel PLATFORM FRIEZE PANEL from Euston station. A very early panel which features brown edging which had traditionally been used on pre-WW2 signs. Later, it was decided to edge the panels with the line colours which, in this case would then have been black for the Northern Line. Measures 44" x 9" (112cm x 23cm).
