AN EARLY 19TH CENTURY MAHOGANY LONGCASE CLOCK, by Bartley of Bristol the hood with broken swan neck pediment flanking ball and spike finial over arched apeture flanked by reeded columns with gilt metal mounts, the waist with rectangular moulded doors with shell inlaid motif flanked by reeded quarter pilasters on a panel base with bracket feet. Arch brass dial with rolling moon marked ‘High Water’ at Bristol Dock, seconds and date dials with engraved decoration. Eight day movement striking on one bell. The face 18” x 12”. Clock overall 88” High.
A 19TH CENTURY WELSH OAK LONGCASE CLOCK, marked Thomas Evans, Caernarvon, the case with hood having broken swan neck pediment above arched apeture flanked by turned columns, the waist with angular arched door flanked by canted angles on a panel base. Arched painted face with floral decoration and Roman numerals, date apeture and gilded spandrels. Thirty hour movement striking on one bell dial measuring 15” x 11”. Case overall 84” High.
A Sunderland lustre circular Bowl, the centre decorated with an armorial inscribed “The Arms of the Ancient Honourable Fraternity of Free Accepted Masons”, and also with further panel of the Manchester Unity Independent Order of Odd Fellows, scene of bridge over the River Wear, Masonic motif of the Ancient Order of Foresters, the Gauntlet Clipper Ship, and a half-length portrait of Garibaldi (extensive hairline cracks), 9 ¾” diameter
An Edwardian Art Nouveau mahogany side cabinet, the whiplash inlaid frieze above a leaded glazed single door over the break-front base section, with an inlaid central panel flanked by a leaded glazed single cabinet at either side, raised to square tapered legs, some damage, 132cm wide by 178cm high.
An early 20th Century oak combined hall stand / settle, with a deep concave gadroon and acanthus cornice with central mask detail above twin carved supports falling to griffin form arm rests, the hinged seat panel beneath a carved back rest, with damages and losses, 126cm wide by 224cm high. DETAIL
