A Fallowfield Half-Plate Mahogany and Brass Camera, with maroon bellows, detachable from lens panel by interesting bayonet device derived from early Kinnear cameras, f/8 8in brass lens and one dds, body G, lens G Unusually well preserved and attractive - the usual minor faults do not greatly detract. Bellows in good condition, leather on carry handle and tab lifting front bayonet in good condition, wood attractive with the usual minor marks particularly around tripod ring, brass fittings attractive and figured, lens lacquer in good condition with clear glass, but hood and rear of lens show evidence of impact but hard to see.
A Sanderson Half-Plate Mahogany and Brass Camera, regular model, serial no. 14176, F with broken front panel, and J H Dallmeyer No. 3 Stigmatic series II lens no. 65977, F-G in non-working Bausch & Lomb shutter, and 2 dds Comb jointed mahogany body, original finish and clean complete brasswork and strap. Woodwork has usual minor scratches and bumps, otherwise good. Front panel needs repair, following which camera would be an attractive piece indeed. Lens unusually good, just a little internal fungus between back elements - might clean up if dismantled. Shutter non working but should also be repairable.
A fine quality cabinet plate decorated with a central rectangular panel of a London view, with gilt surround and blue border with further gilt decoration, the reverse with inscription Horse Guards London and Vienna beehive mark, together with one other depicting a classical scene of a scantily clad maiden with winged man in a natural setting, also with Vienna mark to the reverse
Three Decorative 17th Century Oak Panels. One carved with a guilloche knot of serpent headed straps enriched with punch work, 9 ins x 12½ ins (23 cms x 32 cms). One panel having dragons and foliate decoration,11½ ins x 8½ ins (29 cms x 21 cms). The third depicting an urn cascading flowers and fruit with birds either side, 5 ins x 15 ins (12.5 cms x 38 cms).
A 17th Century Oak Relief Carved Panel and Two Frieze Rails. The panel depicting a winged angel, 10½ ins x 9½ ins (27 cms x 24 cms). One rail centred by a relief carved cherub strumming a lute, flanked by winged lions and foliate scrolls, 4½ ins x 20½ ins (11.5 cms x 52 cms). The other rail carved with birds and cherubs amongst scrolling acanthus flanking an urn of flowers, 6 ins x 32 ins (15 cms x 81 cms).
A Late 17th/Early 18th Century Brass Alms Dish. The convex centre panel embossed and incised with a depiction of St George slaying the Dragon encircled by a ring of undulating foliage. The border ornamented with two bands of lozenge bosses enriched with punch-work and having a folded rim, 18 ins (46 cms) in diameter.
A Joined Oak Full Tester Bed. The paneled tester resting on well turned foot posts and a panelled headboard united by side rails drilled with rope holes. The headboard having a frieze of carved strapwork above three recessed panels; the centre panel emblazened with an armorial crest, initialled H.B.C.B., the side panels with applied diamond moulding. The item measures 77`` (195 cm) high, 54`` (137 cm) wide and 86`` (219 cm) long. Furnished with crewel work drapes and a bed cover.
A Large 19th Century Carved Oak Baronial Arm Chair. The pierced cresting rails carved with heraldic lions. The arms having lion head terminals on stop fluted supports. The upholstered seat, back panel and arms covered in a striped plush fabric. Measuring 52 ins (135 cm) in height, 25 ins (64 cm) in width and depth.
An Oil on Panel, Possibly 16th Century: Three quarter length portrait of Guillaume VI, Comte de Horne in armour, bearing the coat of arms of The Counts of Horne in the left hand top corner and an inscription dated 1343 in the right top corner (over-painted), 17¼ ins x 14½ ins(44 cms x 37 cms). The moulded & ebonised frame, 23 ins x 20 ins (58 cms x 50 cms).
An 18th Century Welsh Dresser & Rack of good colour & patination. The rack having an attractive pierced canopy of hearts above two plank-backed shelves. The enclosed base fitted with two fielded panel doors flanking a centre panel, standing on stile supports 72 ins (183 cms) high, 66 ins (168 cms) wide, 20 ins (51 cms) deep.
A Limoges Enamel Plate in the manner of Pierre Reymond. The circular centre panel displaying a white horse and nymphs paddling in river, initialed P.R. and encircled by a decorative border of mythical beasts and veiled face masks on a black ground. The verso centred by a portrait medallion of a Roman Emperor bordered by gilt embellishments. The plate measuring 8¼ ins (21 cm) in diameter.
A 17th Century Joined Oak Coffer. The triple panel lid on replaced hinges opening to reveal a candle trough at one end, The carved frieze rail dated 1676 and initialled CR above twin lozenge carved front panels. Standing on stile feet, 27 ins (69 cms) high, 44 ins (112 cms) wide, 22½ ins (57 cms) deep.
