A George III Gentleman's Mahogany Wardrobe, the upper part with moulded cornice, fitted hanging rail enclosed by a pair of oval panel doors, the base fitted two short and two long drawers, on bracket feet, 50ins wide x 25ins deep x 84ins highAll three edges of the cornice have edge knocks and some slight rubbing. To the frieze there are various signs of shrinkage running vertically from one end to the other. On the left-hand side of the top at the front there is a large area of damage/timber loss around 4ins in diameter, the slightly recessed back there is an area of veneer repair around 2ins square. The right-hand side of the back in the centre there is a small area of timber damage around a quarter of an inch in diameter. The doors are slightly faded due to sunlight damage, and there are extensive signs of shrinkage on each of the doors, especially in the cross banded oval panels, and sadly, the doors are slightly warped. The drawers run free with little resistance. Key is present and locking mechanism works. On the right-hand side of the base there is a shrinkage split running vertically from one end to the other, and the same on the left-hand side. General heavier wear to the feet, commensurate with age and usage, overall the item is structurally sound, with little or no movement in the joints
An 18th Century Oak Dresser, the upper part with moulded cornice, fitted three shelves, the base fitted four drawers with cupboard under enclosed by fielded panel doors, on block feet, 63.5ins wide x 20ins deep x 75ins highTo the top at the cornice on the right hand side there are some areas of shrinkage and at the front with a diagonal shrinkage split around 4ins long. On the side a shrinkage split where the boards meet the uprights vertically from one end to the other. And in the centre another shrinkage split running vertically from one end to the other. On the left hand side there are shrinkage splits running vertically from one end to the other. The shelves of the top - all the backboards are showing signs of shrinkage. On the second backboard there is an area of repair in a triangular section and general shrinkage splits running vertically from one end to the other all the way along. To the top of the base and the shelves there is general scattered scratching. heavier staining (water marks). To the top of the base the rail is missing a piece of timber around 3ins long. There is a wide shrinkage split running horizontally in two places from one to the other. On the left hand side of the panels areas of shrinkage with horizontal shrinkage splits running from one end to the other, and the same for the right hand side. Drawers run free and easily with minimal resistance, however there is some slight shadowing around the handles. On the left hand door there is a shrinkage split running vertically from one end to the other, also the centre door on the right hand side. Also the right door in two places on the left hand side. General heavier wear to the base and feet commensurate with age. Overall there are flight holes present, evidence of historic woodworm. Unevenly faded. The item is structurally sound with little to no movement in the joints.

A George III Mahogany Bow Front Sideboard, with cross banded edge to top, fitted one frieze drawer, flanked by cupboards, each enclosed by a double dummy drawer fronted door, above shaped arch and on six square tapered legs with spade toes, 52ins wide x 26ins deep x 35.5ins highThe top has some heavy areas of scratching which appear to be quite fresh, most notably on the crossbanding at the front and in the centre at the back. Darker staining to the top and watermarks. Around all edges there are some knocks and rubbing. On the left hand panel the veneer is starting to bubble and there is a shrinkage split horizontally from one end to the other. On the left hand side there is a leg off but it is present. Drawer runs easily. General heavier wear to the legs and feet commensurate with age. Overall the item is structurally sound with little to no movement to the joints.
A 19th Century French Gilt Metal Mounted Commode, with white and grey veined marble slab and moulded edge to top, fitted three short and two long drawers, on slender turned bun feet, 48.5ins wide x 23ins deep x 34.5ins highThe marble is heavily scratched and there is some areas of staining. On the back edge there are some slight edge knocks. On the front three edges it is slightly rubbed, front right-hand upright there is extensive paint and veneer loss and moulding missing. On the right-hand side panel there are two horizontal shrinkage splits running from one end to the other, and on the left-hand side there is a horizontal shrinkage split running from one end to the other. Drawers do run, however, are slightly swollen. Key is present and locking mechanisms work. General heavier wear to the feet commensurate with age, overall the item is structurally sound, however there is some movement in the joints

A 19th Century French Provincial Oak Armoire, with moulded cornice, the frieze carved with vase of flowers and fruiting vines, fitted five shelves enclosed by a pair of carved and glazed doors, shaped apron, on conforming short cabriole legs, 48ins x 20ins x 90ins high Note: Shelves missing To the cornice on all three front edges there are some edge knocks and general rubbing all the way round. On the left hand corner there is signs of shrinkage running horizontally. The joints are beginning to open up, and the same on the right-hand side, on the right-hand side at the top the panel has a shrinkage split running vertically from one end to the other, and on the lower panel is an area of damage around 4ins long. On the bottom panel there is a shrinkage split running vertically from one end to the other. On the left-hand side the top panel has a shrinkage split running vertically from one end to the other, the same on the bottom panel. The left-hand door at the top there is a small area of repair around 4ins square, and around all of the shaped moulding of the glazing there are areas of shrinkage with slight oxidisation to the brass components. General heavy wear to the feet commensurate with age. There are flight holes present to the back boards, evidence of historic woodworm, as stated the shelves are missing, and the item is structurally sound, however, there is some movement to the joints
An Early 19th Century Walnut Miniature Cabinet, with moulded edge to top, fitted three small drawers enclosed by a pair of fielded panel doors, on plinth base, 12ins wide x 8ins deep x 12ins highExternally the back panel shows some horizontal shrinkage. The cabinet has a key and the lock works. Internally all hinges, lock, handles and upper bolt to left door are original. In general terms this cabinet appears to be in good condition with no obvious damage/loss/restoration.

Herbert Dalziel (1858-1941) - Oil painting - "A South West Gale", signed and dated 1896, mahogany panel 10ins x 14ins, in gilt moulded frame Provenance: Institute of Painters in Oil Colours, London Under UV lamp two very small areas of retouching can be seen, above the chimney pots, roughly at centre. These measure approximately 1cm x 5mm and 1cm x 4mm. There is a further small 'spot' approximately 7.5cm up from lower edge and 12cm in from left edge. A horizontal shallow raised line to the panel runs across the work, approximately 5cm up from the lower edge. there is no associated restoration with this.
A Victorian Aesthetic Movement Oak and Parcel Gilt Chiffonnier, designed by A.W. Blomfield, with moulded cornice, dentil frieze, the upper part inset with three arched mirror panels and flanked by turned columns, the base fitted two shelves enclosed by a pair of moulded and panelled doors, with hinges made in the form of flesh, fish and fowl, on conforming supports, 39ins wide x 18ins deep x 65ins high Note: Illustrated in Charles Lock Eastlake's 'Hints on Household Taste', 1868 Most notably there is a white build-up of dust/dirt on the top level and the top of the base. General light scattered scratching to the whole and some darker staining. All three front edges of the top at the cornice have some slight edge knocks and general rubbing. There is some slight uneven fading to the top and the front and the right and left hand sides. Some minor scattered areas of parcel gilt loss all over. The mirror panels appear to be in good overall clean condition. All the door panels are present. One appears darker but in our opinion does not appear to be a replacement, there is a grain to the panel and it just appears to be a shade darker than the others. There are no obvious areas of damage, loss or restoration. The key is present and locking mechanisms work. There is some slight oxidisation to the metal components. General heavier wear to the feet commensurate with age. The doors are slightly swollen and the item is structurally sound with little to no movement in the joints, however the item is a little uneven with one of the feet slightly shorter than the other. There is a small area of timber loss to the back right hand leg which is making it a little uneven, however the whole appears to be in generally good overall and honest condition with no obvious damage, loss or restoration.
A Selection of Chinese Embroidered Textiles, 19th/20th Century, including - a cream silk panel embroidered in colours depicting a pair of fighting cockerels amongst foliage and sparrows 62ins (157.5cm) wide x 53ins (134.5cm) high, a burgundy silk taffeta panel, embroidered with flying cranes 60.25ins (153cm) at widest point x 78.25ins (198.75cm), a red silk panel worked with gold and coloured thread, depicting figures and dogs of Fo amongst clouds 75.5ins (191.75cm) x 122ins (310cm) and four other pieces, various sizesOne wall hanging on red ground with large hole and loose threads. Panel worked with lines of script and figures on a red ground - some loose/missing threads. Cream silk panel embroidered in colours with a pair of fighting cocks - some small scattered stains. Irregular shaped hanging (brackets?) - some loss to black border. Burgundy silk taffeta panel embroidered with flying cranes - some stitched joints have opened. Generally these pieces are in reasonably good condition.
