Note that this tureen shape normally has loop handles and knop, replaced on this example by moulded designs possibly specially commissioned to reflect the Drapers Company's armorial crest

Standing 36 ins (91 cms) wide on a square tapering column with recessed panel sides edged in decoratively cast beading and a rectangular platform raised on four reeded sabre legs headed by carved palm leaves and terminating on brass lion paw feet and castors.
