Ltd., London - An early 20th century oak standing corner cupboard:, the upper part with a moulded cornice and canted angles, having an open compartment, central cupboard enclosed by leaded glazed roundel panel door with stylised hammered copper hinges and open arcaded compartment below with turned column uprights, the lower part enclosed by a moulded panel door with further stylised hammered copper hinges, on bracket feet. Bearing an ivory label 'Liberty & Co. Ltd. London W.'. 72 cm (2ft 4 1/4in) across, 197cm (6ft 5 1/2in. high)
By Shapland and Petter, Barnstaple - An Edwardian oak and marquetry wardrobe and matching dressing table:, decorated with Art Nouveau stylised flowerheads and foliage, bordered with chequer feather banding and boxwood and ebony lines, the wardrobe of canted design with a moulded and reeded cornice, the centre fitted with sliding trays and two small drawers, flanked by a hanging cupboard to either side and enclosed by a central mirrored and shaped domed moulded panel doors, the base with a central drawer flanked by an enclosed cupboard to either side, on bun feet, 201cm (6ft 7in) wide, the dressing table with domed arch swing frame mirrored superstructure and two small drawers with spirally turned uprights, containing two short and a single long drawer below, on spirally turned underframing, terminating in castors, 122cm (4ft) wide.*Note A somewhat similar oak hall robe is illustrated in Shapland and Petter Ltd of Barnstaple, Daryl Bennett, page 112.
A 19th century black enamelled gold and micro mosaic oval panel ring:, the heliotrope oval panel with inner black onyx and micro mosaic depicting a peasant woman in traditional dress, set within a black enamel frame 37mm long x 31mm wide and on similarly enamelled tapering shank, ring size K, 36gms gross weight.

Born in Tanganika, Wood studied art at Leeds and Sheffield Schools of Art. He worked in a number of mediums and subjects, both figurative and abstract. Wood won many awards as a young artist in the 1980s. He had a solo exhibition at Wakefield and Halifax and at the Sir Peter Scott Gallery.
An early 18th century Continental Hausmaler teabowl: painted in the manner of Ignaz Preissler in black enamel [Schwarzlot] with figures and buildings in a continuous landscape, the interior with a similar circular panel with iron red border, the footrim with iron red and gilt bands, the porcelain Meissen or Du Paquier circa 1730, the decoration slightly later, 8 cm diameter [glazed over chip to rim, some flaking] and wood stand.
A late 18th/early 19th century Continental carved ivory fan: the paper leaf decorated with a central panel depicting Mother Nature and two smaller panels of young lovers, the reverse painted with two young lovers under a tree in a rustic setting, with pierced ivory sticks decorated with figures and urns, the guards decorated with musical trophies and figures, 26cm. long.
