EARLY 19TH CENTURY INLAID MAHOGANY FALL FRONT BUREAU, the moulded fall revealing fitting interior of drawers, pigeon holes and centre cupboard, all with satinwood strung outlines, two short and two long cock beaded and fan inlaid drawers below, with brass swan neck handles, standing on bracket feet. 110 x 52 x 114cm(B.P. 24% incl. VAT) CONDITION REPORT: a little dry and faded, some losses to cock beading on the deep drawers, scuffs and marks around feet and other wear and tear commensurate with age, split to one end panel.
Military interest:- The Arthur Ryland cup, a Victorian Rifle Volunteers shooting prize goblet, maker's mark indistinct, ? & Co., Birmingham, 1861, on trumpet foot, sides applied with a disc-shaped panel chased in low relief with a group of Rifle volunteers shooting at a range and wearing unusual helmets, the opposite side with an applied oak leaf wreath inscribed within "Presented by Arthur Ryland Esq., Mayor of Birmingham as a prize to be competed for at 200 yards by members of the Birmingham Rifle Volunteer Corps, won by Mr. Edwin Appleby, No. 10 Company, Septr. 23rd., 1861", band of scrolling foliage around rim, 18.6 cm. high, wt. 219 gm.A few small dings around sides, slight wear to the soldiers on disc.
A large bone model of a pagoda in original box, the eight storey tower with pierced panels and bells at the corners of the tiled roofs at each level, the entrance way with attendant figures, trees and surrounding fence. Ht. 63cm. The box, shaped to suit the model, is in unfinished pine , one side handle missing , the front removeable panel missing part of its surround. In generally very good condition,the wooden base of the model warped, raising and spreading the bone, very few losses.
17TH CENTURY CARVED OAK ARCHITECTURAL SCULPTURAL FRAGMENT, carved in relief with two female figures and a satyr above their heads. 72cm x 34cm wide, max. Together with a 19th Century oak heavily carved, relief panel depicting mother and child monkeys within an arcaded frame. 52cm x 28 approx. Together with an oak furniture fragment with carved text dated: 1721. 105cm long. (3)(B.P. 24% incl. VAT) CONDITION REPORT: The early fragment is split, dry, rotted in places, with losses to the carving and has metal straps to centre holding the planks together. The monkey carving is very dry and grubby but appearing basically good with minor surface wear and the furniture fragment is cracked through in places and has an old repair panel to the back also.
19TH CENTURY MOORISH HARDWOOD AND EBONISED SETTLE, overall copiously inlaid in ivory with foliate and geometric designs, and having panelled back with inset armorial device featuring four crows and the text: 'Deus Alit Eos', having lift seat, scroll shaped arms, panelled front with arcade floral designs on a moulded platform base, late 19th Century. 157cm x 53 x 105cm high.(B.P. 24% incl. VAT) CONDITION REPORT: Basically sound. Some general wear in places commensurate with age, notable split through one arm, a little dry, the armorial panel appears to be an addition.
RARE LATE 18TH CENTURY WELSH BRASS FACED, EIGHT DAY, LONG CASE CLOCK BY PRICE JACKS OF CARMARTHEN, the face and movement in a later Victorian mahogany rosewood cross banded case, having broken swan neck pediment over the arched aperture flanked by spirally turned, baluster columns. The waist with similar columns flanking a shaped and cross banded door, on a cross banded panel base with bracket feet. The brass face measuring 18" x 13" and having rolling moon to the arch which is marked: 'High Water at Green Castle' (Carmarthen). Roman and Arabic numerals with arched date aperture and foliate engraving to the centre field, with figural engraved spandrels emblematic of the seasons. Eight day movement striking on one bell. 225cm high approx.(B.P. 24% incl. VAT) CONDITION REPORT: Face and movement do not originally belong with this case, the movement and face being second half 18th Century, the case being second half 19th Century. Fingers appear to be replacements. Includes two weights and pendulum. The case has general wear and is rather dirty but is in fair condition commensurate with its age.
ROYAL WORCESTER PORCELAIN 'HADLEY' STYLE BOAT SHAPED, TWO HANDLED, PEDESTAL BOWL, painted internally and externally with roses on an ivory coloured ground, signed to one panel: W. Warbron, and overall with relief moulded, gilded mounts, handles and mask mounted pedestal base. Printed marks, the shape code: H/194, date code for 1912. 21cm across by 19.5cm wide.(B.P. 24% incl. VAT) CONDITION REPORT: No obvious damage or restoration, minor surface wear and a little grubby.

VAT) CONDITION REPORT: A number of panels are dried out and split, reasonable medium cover, very grubby, a little dry in places, old repair to one of the back legs.
EARLY 20TH CENTURY BAMBOO DISPLAY CABINET, having single door and flanked by glazed panels. The gallery top with central lozenge bevel plate mirror and lacquered foliate decoration, the interior revealing four fitted shelves, and decorated with wallpaper in Oriental taste. Standing on splay, outswept legs. 74x 157 x 36.5cm.(B.P. 24% incl. VAT) CONDITION REPORT: Generally sound condition for age, rather grubby in places, some splits to bamboo in areas, small crack and loss to left hand side of glass panel, wallpaper slightly worn with some tears in places. Painted/lacquered decoration slightly faded in places.
18TH CENTURY 30 HOUR BRASS FACED LONG CASE CLOCK, marked: Joseph Geller of Bath, in a later mahogany case with broken swan neck pediment over square aperture flanked by moulded columns, satinwood strung moulded waist door on a panel base with bracket feet. Square brass face with Roman and Arabic numerals, seconds dial and arch date aperture. 12" square. 30 hour movement strikes on one bell. (B.P. 24% incl. VAT) CONDITION REPORT: The case overall in good condition commensurate with its age and well usable, silvering from face is lost but otherwise appearing in fair condition, includes single weight and pendulum.

Probably Cardiganshire. 156 x 42 x 198cm.(B.P. 24% incl. VAT) CONDITION REPORT: Overall good condition, a little dry, with wear and tear commensurate with age, ink stains to the upper surfaces, one bone escutcheon is missing, return moulding to both sides are missing, basically sound.

18TH CENTURY WELSH OAK MULE CHEST, having planked moulded edge, hinged top, over front with an arrangement of five raised and fielded panels, two raised and fielded panel drawers below on bracket feet, with recessed panels to each end. 136 x 57 x 89cm.(B.P. 24% incl. VAT) CONDITION REPORT: Basically sound condition overall, bracket feet are short to the front. Reasonable medium colour and patination. Planks to the top have shrunk to the joints, handles and escutcheons are replacements.
PART 18TH CENTURY OAK SETTLE constructed from the front panel and base of an 18th Century Welsh oak coffer, the back with pointed arch ogee fielded panels, open arms on turned supports, the base with an arrangement of three short and two long graduated drawers, on stile feet. 150 wide x 50 deep x 110cm high.(B.P. 24% incl. VAT) CONDITION REPORT: Good condition overall with nice medium colour, a reconstruction of an earlier piece.
VINTAGE 1920'S WEDDING/COURT OUTFIT MADE BY LOYSE COURT DRESSMAKER & MILLINER, 11 Princes St, Hanover Square. Comprises dress, sheer shrug/jacket, cape, shoes and beaded veil. Cream silk and lace empire line full length beaded court/wedding dress. With lace detailing around the collar and sleeves and in the underskirt. The silk bodice has a shell shaped neckline with a sheer lace and beaded panel underneath. There are pearls and beading around the collar and sleeves. The dress has cap lace sleeves with short sheer silk sleeves underneath. The dress fastens with eyelets and hooks down the back of the corset and down the side of the dress. There is a beaded waistband with a loose beaded panel hanging down and beading around the bottom of the dress. There is a label in the dress as described above. The underskirt of the dress is lace and silk with beading. There is a label in the dress as described above. Measurements taken with the dress flat: shoulders: 35cm, waist 33cm, hips 51cm, length 143cm (with 13cm train at back) approximately. Two cream silk covered court shoes with bow at front. Leather inners and soles. They have the numbers: 38, 4 and 3 on the bottom. Measurements: length: 25.5cm and width at widest point 7.5cm approximately. Long pale green silk cape with lace collar edged with blue and pink silk and similar squares around a lace covered button and fabric loop. Also fastens with eyelets and hoops along the front. The cape is made in three panels and the back panel is the largest and fastens around the front two panels by button. The garment has the label described above and is lined in sheer pale green silk. The two back panels are connected by green silk covered milliners tape. Measurements taken with garment laid flat: length 127cm and width at waist when fastened 58cm approximately. Sheer pale grey silk short sleeved jacket edged with beading and having a beaded waistband/belt. Fastens with three hooks and eyelets at the end of the beaded waistband. Measurements taken with garment flat: shoulder: 40cm, waist 30cm when fastened, width at bottom 50cm and length 90cm approximately. Geometrically patterned beaded net veil with pale pink silk bow sewn in which has wax snowdrops at the centre and a beaded tassel at the other end. There are pearls in the tassel and in the edging around it. Lace and ruched netting along the rest of the edge. Measurements: 235cm long and 123cm wide approximately. (B.P. 24% incl. VAT) CONDITION REPORT: Dress: Staining to skirt of dress especially at the front. Some bead loss generally. Hole in the front beaded panel near the top. Lace and silk of sleeves and around the shoulders very damaged. Silk lining the inner bodice of the dress very damaged. Generally quite poor condition. Shoes: silk at sides badly damaged (particularly left shoe). Generally in poor condition. Cape: Staining to the back of the main panel. Lace collar has holes in it/quite badly damaged. Smaller amount of damage to lace around the button/loop fastening. Button is loose. Lining badly damaged near the top of garment. Silk is coming off milliners tape. Silk shrug/jacket: Generally in fair condition considering age. Some slight staining and small holes around the collar area. Some loose/missing beads especially around the fastening. Veil: Fabric very delicate but largely intact in the centre of the veil. Significant damage to the edging. Some pearls are missing from the tassel and the edging around it. Bow coming off netting on one side. Wax flowers are slightly damaged.

A very rare and fine Marconi Short Wave Tuner Mark III trench set,1917, Ser. No. 3544,With open Perikon detector, twin closed and aerial inductor controls, tuning coil controls, detector and change-over switches, buzzer and all-lacquered brass fittings on ebonite panel, battery bay removeable lid with watch boss, circuit card, adjustment chart card and crystal storage box with the contents, in dark green fully rexine-covered trench case with plate fasteners, brown leather handle; together with two period most certainly Marconi-made quadruple-boss crystal detector posts, each with the crystals mounted; a Neutron tin with numerous small crystals; a tin containing Carborundum crystals; and another containing Zincite and Bornite crystals.Footnote: This untouched example is in stunning condition throughout, with the cards all inked with the sets’ serial number, crystal box almost full and the dual multi-crystal bosses for crystal-to-crystal detector use present. The lacquered fittings are pristine as is the rexine covering to the outside of the case. One of the best Marconi Mark III tuners to grace the market for a long time, it has been within two families’ hands since circa 1920 and a note of its history accompanies the set.

An American gilt metal and champleve enamelled four glass mantel clock The white dial with Roman numerals and exposed escapement, the gong striking barrel movement signed Ansonia New York and with faux mercury pendulum. 33 cm high. CONDITION REPORTS: Generally good condition, expected wear, case could do with a clean, rear glass panel with crack to corner, some rubbing to gilding, one side panel with some movement, rear door not quite flush.
