An extremely fine and elaborately carved mahogany and parcel gilt Armchair, in the early George III style, the shaped back with carved animal heads, the large pierced central panel carved with shells, leaves and bell flowers, over outswept arms with large bird beak handles on front carved and pierced cabriole legs, with paw feet. A very good 19th Century English walnut Ladies Dressing or Vanity Table, with kingwood crossbanding and central oval marquetry panel, the lift up top with inset mirror over a pull out fitted drawer, the frieze inset with four floral painted porcelain plaques, and ormolu mounts, on cabriole legs. The Clarke Stained Glass Studios[Nagle (Wm.)] "King David and The Creation" A vibrant and colourful three panel stained glass Window, decorated from a base with sea creatures, fish, whale etc., King David playing the harp, swirling birds and butterflies in flight, on a natural background with leafy border, graduating to an arched top. The panel sizes approx. 93cms (36½") base; 103cms (40 ½") centre; 74cms (20") arch top, all approx. 66cms (26") wide, overall height 280cms (110") with recent wooden frame mount.Provenance: Park House, Wexford Town, Co. Wexford. Commissioned by the Pierce Family [Machinery Manufacturers] Wexford, for the portico of their home, Park House, c.1900. Originally one of five panels which were removed by Colonel Roy Smith about 1963, and were placed in a custom made bunker at the house. Park House was subsequently sold to the last remaining member of the Dutch Royal Family [Baroness Van Zuylen van Nyevelt]. The house changed hands on two further occasions. When the house was purchased by the Williams Family it was discovered that two of the panels had been completely destroyed, two of them they were able to reinstate in the inner hallway, and the panel for sale here, is the fifth panel of the series.* The Auctioneers are grateful to Dr. Nicola Gordon-Bowe for her advice on this Lot
A very attractive early 19th Century marquetry Cabinet on Stand, in the George I style, the moulded top over two doors, each with large marquetry panel of vase of flowers, the interior with an arrangement of 12 varied drawers and small centre panel door all inlaid with panels of flowers, and with heavy brass carrying handles, on a stand with two front cabriole legs, 132cms (52") high; 66cms (26") wide. An attractive 19th Century red Boulle Side Cabinet, the rectangular plain top over a decorated ormolu frieze with brass inlay, the panel door with segmented brass inlay and central oval panel flanked with heavy ormolu mounts, on a shaped platform base, approx. 85cms (33 1/2") wide; 107cms (42") high. A large Dutch 18th Century brass Tobacco Box, with engraved lid and base and body (worn), the front panel inscribed 'Een iseen der,' 17cms (6 3/4") long; and a smaller later brass Tobacco Box, with knife and match compartments, inscribed 'W. Greenhalgh, Horwich, 1861,' 12cms (4 3/4") long. (2)

A SIGNED JAPANESE MEIJI PERIOD SHIBAYAMA IVORY & SILVER METAL PLAQUE, decorated to its ivory centre with a bird in flight beside foliage in onlaid gilt metal, mother-of-pearl and stained ivory, the circular panel within a silver-metal filigree pentafoil foliate surround, the base with an engraved signature on a rectangular mother-of-pearl reserve, 5.2in diameter.
A GOOD QUALITY 19TH CENTURY CHINESE CANTON SHAPED OVAL DISH, supported on a high flared foot, the interior painted with figural and floral panels that include a very unusual panel of a traveller with boy attendant in a mountainous landscape setting and another unusual panel of a servant attending to the footwear of her mistress, the panels reserved on a ground of butterflies and scrolling lotus, 15.9in x 12.1in at widest points & 4in high.
