1st Life Guards Framed Victorian Shabraque Embroidered Horse, Saddle Cloth Hindquarter. A richly embroidered panel of an Officer's shabraque with bullion Guelphic crown, LG reversed and intertwined with central "1" surrounded by honours with padded Garter Star below. Edged with wide band of gold lace bearing two crimson lines. Slightly dulled. Now attractively framed and glazed (perspex). Approx. 82 x 86 cm. VGC
Nelson Centenary Commemorative China. A rare fine and colourful three handled Loving style cup produced by the Copeland Factory of Staffordshire. The cup is decorated with colourful transfers depicting Nelson with in a title strap "Admiral Lord Nelson Britain's Naval Hero" this is within an acorn wreath, surmounted by a Nautical Crown and the Union Flag and White Ensign. The second panel depicts Britannia, upon her chariot be pulled across the waves by four white horses "Britannia Rules the Waves". The final panel depicts the Flagship "Victory" lying alongside a Dreadnought Battleship. Each arm is decorated with a foul anchor and to the interior can be found Nelson's famous signal "England Expects....." The underside with maker's details "Copeland"and additional transfer of "Subscriber's Copy T. Goode & Co." Colours remain bright GC. This items appears to be in fine condition, but bidders must satisfy themselves of condition before bidding.
Magnificent Boar War Commemorative Loving Cup by Copeland China. This impressive china loving cup bears colourful transfer panels, between the three handles. The first panels depicts, the head and shoulders of Queen Victoria, against a Stand of Flags of the Empire ... Medallions of Field Marshal White, the Prime Minister Marquis Salisbury, The Victoria Cross and a Red Cross. Also a list of Victories in South Africa ... The final panel, shows Britannia, with a soldier kneeling in front of her, flanked by a Yeoman and a Sailor. The underside with maker's details "Copeland"and additional transfer of "Subscriber's Copy T. Goode & Co.". GC Colours bright. Height 5 1/2 inches This items appears to be in fine condition, but bidders must satisfy themselves of condition before bidding.
Boer War 49th (Montgomeryshire) Imperial Yeomanry Tunic. A rare example, tailored in light khaki wool material, with both pleated breast and waist pockets. To the shoulder straps original brass "49 IY" shoulder titles and the right sleeve with a single red backed khaki rank chevron. Complete with Imperial Yeomanry buttons. The interior with both wax cotton first field dressing pocket and ID card pocket. Retaining original paper label, with ink 1900 date stamp and also large IY ink stamp. The overall condition is good and clean, but with moth damage to the lower right breast pocket and moth hole to the back panel. GC.
German Third Reich K98 dress bayonet by Carl Eickhorn, Solingen. Fine single edged plated 25 cm blade with fuller, one side with etched panel bearing eagles with folded wings and swastika, oak sprays and legend "Fur Erinnerung an meine Dienstzeit". Maker's squirrel logo stamped to the forte. Plated crossguard with upturned quillon and plated eagle head pommel; black composite checkered grips, slight movement to blade. Housed in its black painted steel scabbard bearing black leather frog. VGC
Imperial German Life Hussar Regiment Officer's Undress Sword. A good scarce example, the single edged piped back blade, with etched panel "Von Bonin S Liebin Von Hartmann" The reverse of the blade is plain. The hilt of regulation pattern, the langet mounted with a enamel Star, the grip of shagreen with twist wire binding. The guard of embossed decoration mounted with a silvered scull and with lion head pommel. Scabbard absent overall GC some age wear.
German Third Reich HSBO Landzelle Verden pre 1935 flag. A good scarce red cotton example with bullion tassels to three sides. Each side has applied black swastika on a white disc also a white cord edged black panel embroidered in white "HSBO Landzelle Verden". Seven metal hoisting rings clips. William IV 1822 Pattern Officer's Piped Back Bladed Officer's Sword. A very good period example, the piped back blade with etched panel with Crowned WIVR cypher. This device is repeated to the regulation pattern gilt metal hilt. Black shagreen grip with twist wire binding. Housed in black leather and gilt mounted scabbard. Etching to the blade is clear, gilt bright and leather supple. Near VGC.
French 1811 Napoleonic War Period Light Cavalry Trooper's Sword. A scarce example, the inscription to the back of the blade indicating manufacture in 1811 at the Government arsenal. The curved 33 1/2 inch plain blade with circular stamps to the forte. The regulation hilt with single bar guard bearing the stamp "Versailles" Leather grip with twist wire binding. Housed in brass scabbard with wood and leather panel. GC. Viewing Recommend.
Soviet Russian Officer's 300 year anniversary Naval Dirk. A good 1994 commemorative example with a 21 cm straight double edged blade bearing dedication panel for 300 anniversary of the fleet, numbered, dated and with maker's logo. . The hilt with "S" shape cross guard bearing sprays of oak, turned cream composition grip. Housed in original faux leather scabbard with spring retaining clip, gilt mounts decorated with sailing ship, anchors, oakleaves and Arms of Russia. VGC
A large Edwardian walnut dining table on three baluster supports, two D-ends converting to separate side tables and two panels to the centre, length when extended approx 420cm and a set of eight Victorian walnut dining chairs, curved top rail to carved central panel, curved back legs and cabriole front legs to ball and claw feet, including two carvers (9).
A Victorian coromandel writing slope with presentation plaque 'Presented to Mr W Rouse Foreman Boilermaker by the men at the Britannia Works Birkenhead as a mark of their esteem 11th March 1882', with vacant mother of pearl cartouche to top, mother of pearl escutcheons, fitted interior (af), 35 x 24 x 14cm and a mahogany box with carved floral panel decoration, 30 x 22 x 24cm (2).

CONDITION REPORT Extensive wear to wooden framework, several hinges faulty, areas of extensive loss to gilding, losses to paint work where panel meets frame, minor losses and surface marks to paint work throughout, surface dirt throughout, in need of restoration.

PLASTER CAST OF THE PARTHENON FRIEZE, JOHN HENNING (ENGLISH 1771-1851) 19TH CENTURY the single panel with six frieze bands depicting classical figures in relief, mounted in a period carved wood frame 185cm long overall Provenance: The Lord and Lady Sutherland of Houndwood Collection Note: The Parthenon frieze was famously brought to London by Lord Elgin in the early 1800s, and exhibited in his house on the corner of Park Lane and Piccadilly from 1808. It features Great Panathenaia, the festival in Athens in honour of the Goddess Athena, and is now on display to the public in the Acropolis Museum in the city. The Scottish sculptor, John Henning, was one of the first to see Elgin's collection and following his visit created models of both the Parthenon and Phigaleian friezes, using carved slate moulds. It took twelve years to complete the reliefs, many of which were signed, as well as numbered and labelled according to the original location of the friezes.

CARVED LIMESTONE PANEL OF SAINT MARTIN OF TOURS 14TH/ 15TH CENTURY depicting St. Martin on horseback with his sword raised, handing his cut cloak to a beggar, carved with the initials S M, with a modern wall mounting bracket 35cm wide, 38cm high Note: The depiction of St. Martin of Tours was a popular subject for religious devotional items during the medieval period, and surviving artworks show that this particular scene was regularly portrayed during the 14th and 15th centuries, in a variety of media. St. Martin was a French soldier in the fourth century, who in an act of kindness cut his cloak in two and handed a beggar a portion of it at the gates of Amiens. Examples of this scene exist in not only religious institutions throughout the world, such as a piece carved in pietra serena in Nova Scotia, but in important museums including the V&A and the Cleveland Museum of Art.
