In addition, the vendor tells us that recent work undertaken includes replacement rear wheel bearings, new thermostat, replacement coil, plugs and HT leads, near air filter, replacement battery, full rewire with new dash panel and switches, which include a working RaceTech rev counter, coolant temperature gauge and push button starter. Included with the vehicle are a number of spares including three crates of trim items from when the car was converted to race specification. There's also spare headlights, taillamps, a set of GT alloy wheels, AX GTi rear beam and front uprights and spare VTR alloy wheels, should the new owner wish to convert the hub to four-stud. 1955 Ford Zephyr Zodiac Mk1Make: FordModel: Zephyr 6Year: 1955Mileage: 889VIN: EOTTA141971Configuration: Right Hand DriveRegistration: LWN829Transmission: manualIf this smart 1955 Ford Zephyr Zodiac MkI looks a little familiar, that's because it appeared in Netflix's very popular The Crown TV series, popping up in Series 2 episode 1 as the personal car of Commander Parker, the equerry to the Queen and Prince Philip. Finished in Dorchester Grey and Winchester Blue and fitted with a rear Continental spare wheel kit, the car was first registered in May 1955. Its owner from 1990 to 2008 was a professional panel beater and mechanic and he gave the car a full body-off restoration, a photographic record of which is included in the history folder. Where necessary, lead-loading was used rather than any filler, and the Ford was also rewired with a brand new loom, while the engine was rebuilt with new pistons, rings and valves. At this point, the odometer was zeroed.
