Mahogany and satinwood banded eight day longcase clock, early 19th Century, swan neck pediment over brass capped corinthian columns flanking an arched 13ins painted dial, with defunct rolling moon and decorated with four seasons personified to the spandrels, Arabic numerals, subsidiary seconds and date aperture, the movement striking on a gong, named on the back plate Hipky & Harrold, trunk with flame mahogany door within canted corners, crossbanded with boxwood stringing over a base with an inlaid circular panel raised on bracket feet, height 88.5ins.
Edwardian mahogany demi lune side cabinet, probably Maple & Co, circa 1905-1910, carved in the Adam style, the frieze with fine foliate scrolls over a central moulded panel door centred with a flaming urn within bell flower garlands and flanked on either side with similar panels, all raised on acanthus carved square section legs with spade toes, width 48ins, depth 23.5ins.

Use of the Greek or Russian Church, ?mid-7th Century,. 330 leaves, handsomely printed in red and black in Slavonic script, 15 well?spaced lines of text per page, with large ornate initials, usually in red, and decorative head?pieces, full?page woodcut of a saint writing at a desk on the verso of the fourth leaf (recto blank), with an integral blank leaf about halfway through the volume, some slight soiling, generally in good, crisp condition, bound in contemp. blindstamped calf over wooden boards, central panel of the upper cover with a blindstamped design of King David playing the harp, with Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden on the lower cover, 4 heart?shaped brass bosses at the corners, with a central leaf?shaped brass boss, rebacked c. 1770 in English red morocco, gilt, lettered on 2 black leather labels, and with Mus. Bapt/Bristol/Gifford in gilt on the bottom compartment, spine now rubbed, and chipped at the head, sm. 4to. Bookplate of A. Gifford on the front pastedown, over which the Bristol Baptist College bookplate has been pasted. Earlier ornate signature of Thomas Martin. Gifford himself has supplied an initialled inscription, identifying the item as a "Psalterum Sclavonicu[m]", on a free endpaper. The register appears to be in 8's, although the first gathering comprises only 6 leaves, indicating that 2 leaves, one being the title?page, is missing. (1)

A George III Mahogany Linen Press. The upper section having a dentil moulded cornice above two flame figured edge-moulded panel doors; The concaved corners inlaid with paterae enriched with penwork. The sides swept forward with protuberant canted corners inlaid with pendant garlands of penworked bellflowers and cross-banded. The four linen slides within slotting into side grooves. The chest base having a well-shaped serpentine front with canted corners ornamented with bellflower inlay reflecting the top. The four long graduated drawers edged in ebony cock-beading and standing on a moulded base with bracket feet, 52 ins (132 cms) wide, 81 ins (206 cms) tall.
A Fine 18th Ce ntury Flame Figured Mahogany Eight Day Longcase Clock. The 11 3/4 (30 cm) brass dial having a silvered chapter ring encircling a matted centre with subsidiary seconds ring and silvered name plaque engraved Daniel Stephens London. The corners ornamented with ornately scrolling spandrels incorporating face masks, the arch with scrolling dolphin mounts flanking a silvered calendar ring. The hood surmounted by three spire-globe finials with fluted columns flanking the dial. The case with a dome-topped lip-moulded door and a cruciform panel to the moulded base outlined in astrigal beading and raised on bracket feet 92 ins (234 cms) in height.
A Victorian burr oak fitted tantalus of rectangular form, having a rising lid with fielded oval panel above twin opening doors again with fielded oval panels opening to reveal three square cut decanters and stoppers within a plush blue velvet lined interior, width 35cm (please see lot 318 for image)
