An antique Chinese turquoise glazed vase, probably for the Islamic market, converted to a lamp, the turquoise crackle glaze with heavy dripping to the lower edge, painted with flower heads within lattice shaped reserves, the shoulder and neck with floral meanders, on a bronzed metal base, 15½in. (39.5cm.) high. * Condition: Lamp conversion - base has been drilled. Old, professional restoration to lower body to one side - probably restoration to a hole in the body. There are a number of patches of glaze discolouration around the main body of the vase, with the crackles in the glaze showing discolouration around these areas.Small glaze chip to top edge of the rim.

An Eastern European hanukah lamp, probably early 20th century, the pierced back decorated with a double headed eagle and a monarch's head flanked by two rampant lions, the side supports in the form of two sepoys, with an associated brass drip tray, 11 x 3in. (27.9 x 7.6cm.), 9in. (22.8cm.) high. * Condition: One of the central lights missing part of the tongue. One of the sepoys is missing part of the staff, and the other staff is bent at the top.
