An N.E.R station lamp from the former Airmyn-Rawcliffe station, complete with original glass and wall bracket, 68 x 37 cm. Airmyn-Rawcliffe station was on the Selby to Goole line, the station was opened by the North Eastern Railway on 1 May 1912 as Airmyn and Rawcliffe. It became part of the London and North Eastern Railway under the Grouping of 1923. The station then passed on to the Eastern Region of British Railways on nationalisation in 1948. It was renamed on 12 June 1961 to Airmyn.

A Substantial Brass Microscope Lamp, English ,c.1880, unsigned, standing on a large cast brass foot with tall column supporting the lamp on geared adjustment for height and side to side motions, lamp with large oil reservoir, brass lamp housing and tall brass chimney, height at mid position 60cm Footnote: although unsigned this lamp is very similar to one made by Watson called 'Watson's Premier Lamp' though the base on this lamp appears to be larger.

A Lamorna pottery table lamp base, painted with fish, height 23cm, together with an ovoid vase, painted with scrolling foliage, height 21cm (2).Lot 977The lamp will require rewiring and possibly a new fitment. The base is drilled and slightly crazed, otherwise good.The vase has a firing fault on the underside.

Boris helped pave the way for tourism in Nepal, when he opened the country's first hotel, the Hotel Royal, and later when he created the Yak & Yeti Hotel and Restaurant. His biography was reported in the book 'Tiger for breakfast' by Michel Peissel. Inger lived in Kathmandu, Nepal, from the early 1950s until her death in 2013.
