ALIENS (1986) - Production-Made Colonial Marine Shoulder Lamp Component - A Colonial Marine shoulder lamp component from the production of James Cameron's Aliens. United States Colonial Marines wore TNR shoulder lamps on their armor while they investigated the destruction of the Hadley's Hope colony on LV-426. The USCM armor costumes were designed and built by renowned armorer Terry English. This base component for a Colonial Marine's shoulder lamp was created for production but ultimately unused in the final cut. Built from the base of a Reflecta 3002 video light, it features plastic and metal plates screwed together into a hinged box with electronics concealed on its interior and the Reflecta branding removed below the hinge for production. A rubber-wrapped power cord designed to illuminate a lightbulb set into the head via an orange switch extends from the opposite side of the switch. Following production, the cord was cut, rendering it nonfunctional. The lot exhibits rusting to its metal components, grime throughout from age and storage, and pitting from where the branding was removed. Dimensions: 5.5" x 2.5" x 3.5" (14 cm x 6.5 cm x 9 cm)Contains electronics; see electronics notice in the Buyer's Guide.Estimate: $2,000 - 4,000Bidding for this lot will end on Friday, August 16th.
