Lot 558
Heavily carved oak lamp or side table with under tier on turned legs. (B.P. 21% + VAT) width - 66cm Depth - 45cm Height - 73cm approx. Has at some time been varnished, which is now worn off in parts. Repair to base. A little movement in back legs - probably because of repair. Slight shrinkage to top board, see pic. Slight damage to fretwork. Overall a good looking piece.

A FRENCH ORMOLU AND BLUE OPALINE GLASS MOUNTED TABLE LAMPMid-19th CenturyAdapted from an oil lamp, with serpent wrapped baluster shaft mounted on stepped plinth raised on scroll mounted paw feet, 61cm high Condition report: Overall decorative. Tarnishing and dust to metal work, wear and rubbing. A small gap/hole to the metal mount beside the acanthus motif to one corner. Later adapted for electricity and wiring fitted and drilled through. Wiring will need to be reorganised and PAT tested. The mount and collar to the top are later.

AN ITALIAN ALABASTER GILT-BRONZE MOUNTED COLUMN TABLE LAMPLate 19th CenturyLater fitted for electricity, 70cm high Condition report: Scuffs, small chips and nibbles to the edges. Discolouration in areas, including a very thin light fissure to the column. Dirt and tarnishing to the metal work. Drilled to the base for electrical wiring which runs up inside the column shaft. Will need to be rewired and PAT tested.
