[CARTER HOWARD]: (1874-1939) English archaeologist and Egyptologist who discovered the Tomb of Tutankhamun in 1922. Manuscript list of illustrations, unsigned and in an unidentified hand, one page, folio, n.p., n.d. (c.1927). The page is headed The Tomb of Tut-ankh-amen and relates to the illustrations to appear in Volume II of Carter´s book The Tomb of Tutankhamun: Volume II - Burial Chamber & Mummy (1927). The list comprises twenty-five plate illustrations, each individually numbered and with an indication of the page number and text of the relevant caption, including a frontispiece portrait of Tutankhamen, a first glimpse of the sarcophagus, the mummy of the King, a floral and bead collarette, an alabaster calcite lamp, a cosmetic jar, several of the King´s gold coffin, and the King´s perfume box etc. Annotated to the verso ´List of Subjects´. LAZENBY GEORGE: (1939- ) Australian actor, famous for his portrayal of the fictional British secret agent James Bond. A good signed 8 x 10 photograph of Lazenby in a full-length pose in costume as James Bond, holding a gun in one hand and swinging from a London lamp post, with the Elizabeth Tower visible in the background, in a promotional image originally captured by Terry O´Neill for the spy film On Her Majesty´s Secret Service (1969). ARMSTRONG LOUIS: (1901-1971) American jazz trumpeter and vocalist. A good vintage signed and inscribed 8 x 10 photograph, the unusual promotional image depicting Armstrong seated in a three-quarter length pose playing his trumpet, surrounded by various barrels, wicker baskets and an oil lamp. Signed by Armstrong in green fountain pen ink to a lighter area of the image. With a very feint Metrophone stamp to the lower white border. A couple of minor corner creases, otherwise VG

MORGAN MICHELE: (1920-2016) French actress. A slim 4to hardcover spiral bound Lavis aquarelle artist's sketchbook previously belonging to Michele Morgan and containing twenty pages of drawings in the hand of the actress, executed in coloured crayons, felt-tip and pencil, the various studies including abstract designs (a couple featuring a duck and other animals), a number of portrait studies of women's heads, an elegant hand, a full-length drawing of a lady reclining on a sofa, a table lamp etc. The unsigned drawings appear to the recto and verso of the pages, most of which bear the circular stamp of Succession Michele Morgan - Shine A Lot, dated 21st December 2017, and originating from her estate sale. Vase previously restored at neck, some sections to this have since broken (elements present) - approx 50% of circumference. Mounts very dirty. stains, polish and dirt residue throughout Set with mount plate to underside so base of vase cannot be examined- but drilled. A pair of mahogany lamp or wine tables in the George III manner the circular tops with shaped moulded rims raised on turned pedestal supports with three splayed legs terminating in ball and claw feet 40cm diameter x 66cm high, together with a wooden faux bamboo two section folding clothes rail, each section 56cm wide x 78cm high.Condition ReportThe table appears to be late 19th/ early 20th century.
