A gilt-metal and pink veined marble oil lamp, the ribbed clear glass globe shade and reservoir raised on a cast cylindrical stem, moulded in relief with putti, flora and fauna, raised on a marble plinth base with scroll feet, 70cm high.Generally fair with some signs of age and use. Feet are a little loose and would benefit from tightening. Tiny scuffs and chips to marble corners/edges. Small split in casting of lower metal section beneath deer foot, possibly in manufacture. Height up to reservoir 37cm.
A mid-century Polish acrylic table lamp, formed as a bright yellow and opaque white acrylic globe with chromium band, resting on a white acrylic cylindrical stand, 46cm high x 50cm wide.Hairline scratches all over and marked all over too. Top with what looks to be spots and stripes of decorator's paint (yellow section with pink spots etc., base with black marks).All components look original and rim does fit. Sang de boeuf vaseChinese, 18th/ early 19th Centuryof baluster form, with a wooden stand, 35cm highProvenance: Hazelwood, Shanghai circa 1930 then by descent. Hazelwood is a large classical property in Shanghai designed by Clough Williams-Ellis and is now on the site of the Radisson Xingguo Hotel Drilled hole to the base, and the vase was being used as a lamp at the vendor's house. Some crazing and the underside of the base has a rough chipped edge rim.
