An early 19th century large Meissen model of a Jay. Coloured in enamels and modelled perched upon a tree stump applied with leaves, acorns and a beetle and issuing from a rockwork cluster. Underglaze crossed swords mark, 37.25cm. Condition Report. To be used as a guide only. The air hole underneath filled with old glue, the figure was formerly mounted to a plinth as part of a lamp. Hair crack to the rockwork. Some loss and small repairs to the applied work. No major repairs or damage.
